I made kind of a big investment today.
On monday my friends kyle and erica told me about (well, kyle really because he's the talker) a deal that the Boston vespa dealership is having right now. No money down and no payments for a year on the purchase of a vespa by the end of the month. I am fairly broke at the moment (new job, no paycheck yet, moving, etc etc), so I was a bit unsure if this was a wise decision, but at the same time, I can't afford to spend 120 bucks a month in gas either. And I'm about to make my 2 mile commute a 15 mile commute (round trip). So I did it. I went down to the dealership today, I qualified for the promotion. The model I want (the cheapie) is on backorder, being shipped to the store, supposed to be in by the end of the month. Most of the vespas in that shipment have already been sold. I did make a goal of paying off about half of the vespa within the first year, so I'm not paying interest on all of it. I think that's a reasonable and realistic goal. Whatever is left over will get transferred to my credit card with the low interest rate to avoid paying their 19% interest, heh.
