Just some thoughts
(+) Finding my WGRD Bootleg acoustic cd. I am deeply in love w/ that cd and it has been missing for well over a year now. It has by far some of my top 10 fav songs ever. There are songs on there sang by groups before they became famous and now I hate them. It was recorded after the best musical summer of my life. That summer almost every Tuesday night was devoted to watching local Grand Rapids bands. It was free, great environment, and afterwards you got to meet the band and fun through the fountains:) I was introduced to what i call "chill" music but to others is some form of acoustic. I learned that this type of music could really echo my emotions w/ the the deep powerful words they sang. So yea, its been missing but i relocated it, woo hoo.
(-) My classes this semester. So far this semester, and by far i mean a day, my classes suck. I have an ethics class b/c apparently lawyer are lacking in the ethical arena. I dont know where they'd get that from. We had to take a special quiz to determine what type of ethical justification we go through when taking part in situation activities. Like when you see a speed box thing on the side of the road stating your speed, what do you do? Slow down, look for cops, do both or do nothing b/c your not speeding. Then when crossing a road at a light and it says dont walk but there are no cars do you cross? If you could take something from your employer for personal use would you if you knew that yo u would never get caught? What do you tell people when you dont want to talk to them, but they call you? Do you speed knowing that its 70mph and by how much.
Yea, that was interesting. Im pretty sure that lots of us were like wow thats really interesting. So i learned about my ethical judgment calls and why I do what i do. That was cool, however that only took 5 mins of the 3 hours. I wanted to guoge my eyes out the rest of the time. Just sitting there listening to lecture that was of a similar topic as old parli meetings about phlisophy, however it was not nearly as fun nor were there any pictures. I was remembered very quickly as to why I didnt major in Philosophy and why its the worst grade on my college transcript. They are all crazy, Kant seriously, your name should be spelled w/ a "u". Would make you lots more interesting to me anyways....so yea that was sweet.
Or how about research and writing. Lets read 30 pages telling me how much the class will suck, (their words, thanksless and unfilling)but it will benefit me for the rest of my life. Who fucking cares its writing. I dont want to write like them, I find my way more convient and less time consuming. Redoing a brief 5 or 6 times, doesnt sound like fun to me. So im really super excited for this class, yea its cool.
(+) Dinner tomorrow...Im making Swaf, Nick, Kourt and myself dinner. Since they were all so nice to let me hang out w/ them this semester, get drunk w/ them, play pool, dance and watch some quality movies. Its going to be super yummy. Roast, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, green bean casserole, wine and beer. I can not wait. I just hope it turns out delicious.
(+) My new camera. I got the coolest bday present. Finally a camera. I have been waiting 5 years for one. On Tuesday night Kourt and I took 100 pictures, it was soo great and sooo much fun. Im having a blast using it.
(+) Theresa's and Pauls wedding. I finally got my dress all ready to go and w/ the shoes i bought, the outfit is complete. I am super excited to see everyone and watch my friends get married. Its going to rock. WOO HOO.
