Generally, I don't like Mondays. Especially not after a delightful 3-day weekend of shopping, romance & relaxation. However, tomorrow has some things to look forward to.
1) Someone is coming to clean my house! I finally made the call (or rather the email) that set this up. It's been a long long time since I had housecleaning help on a regular basis. There was 6-8 months in SC when the kids were really little that I had someone in on Fridays. It was amazing to start the weekend with a clean house back then. I was always so grateful when I looked at my dust-free ceiling fans and baseboards. Yes, in the south, 6-inch baseboards and crown molding are practically mandatory, and ceiling fans are completely, definitely, mandatory.
2) Beer & Marmalade meets for the 2nd time this month! I read the stories! I can't wait to read the rest of the stories in the collection: Portable Childhoods, by Ellen Klages. One of the stories was super creepy, two were sweet, and one pushed my sf buttons. We're trying to get an extra meeting in before Wiscon.
So, in the morning, I have a meeting at DSF to discuss an energy saving project at 13 armories in various locations. That's at nine. Then I have to run by Ancora and pick up some "Evening in Missoula" which I have been sorely missing for several weeks. Licorice Spice is a so-so substitute, but I miss my Missoula. I might even have time for lunch before I have to get back to the house. I hope the weather is nice enough for a walk too.
Wednesday will be a big day in Milwaukee - I'm wrapping up one phase of a project and handing the next phase off to another PM so I'll have more time to devote to Beloit. That's a load off my plate for sure. And the following Monday is the actual beginning of work in Beloit.
