It was the end of Spring in Hayward, California. The weather was cool for a Hayward Summer. Too cool. I began to get suspicious when I awoke to the sound of giggling noises on my roof at 2 past midnight. I went outside to investigate. How dreadfuly cold it was! It must have dropped below zero sometime because snow was coming down. I checked the roof and saw something strange. Two small figures, sillouttes, were moving about on the roof. I stepped on the ground wrong for they heard me. They stopped, whispered something and looked my way. Four beaming yellow eyes stunned me and it all disappeared. I went back to bed and lay awake until sleep overtook me. I was awaken by another noise and it was 3 past midnight. It was a louder noise. Breathing. It was in my room somewhere. I tried hard to open my eyes to discover a large shadow looming over the foot of my bed. I heard it breathing. I shut my eyes and covered my face with the blanket. I awoke and my clock was broken. Stuck on 3 am.
