Any specialties/preferences on what sort of patients your doctor treats?: Schizophrenia (delusions and hallucinations), Multiple-Personality Disorder, Depressive Episodes Live-in doctor or not? (this status can be changed later): Not a live-in. He has an apartment outside of the center. Backstory: Spencer Reid grew up in Las Vegas, graduating high school at the age of twelve where he attended the local university. From there, he graduated at the age of eighteen with three PhD's in psychology/medicine and criminal justice. At about the same time he got a job with the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, Spencer's mother, a diagnosed schizophrenic, suffered a breakdown and Spencer had her put away in Las Vegas' Bennington Sanitarium. Upon his work with the BAU and the criminals they dealt with (most of them mentally ill and psychopathic themselves) and dealing with his own mother, Spencer was overwhelmed with work and personal troubles. With the suggestion of his superior (and lover) Aaron Hotchner, Reid decided to take leave from his job from the BAU and use what knowledge he had in psychology and medicine and put it to good use for some time away and help those in need. He enlisted himself to help out at several rehab centers and hospitals and Gale was the first to respond. Taking a look into the place, Reid soon accepted, packed his things, got his kiss goodbye and was out the door.
Writing Sample:
Spencer sat cross-legged atop his compter chair, slouched, a cup of coffee warm between his hands. He squinted at the screen, pushing the glasses up his nose and leaned closer, scrolling through his email. He'd had Aaron send out his profile to a few hospitals in choice a week or so ago, and already, one hospital had emailed him with enthusiasm. 'Hello and welcome to Gale Hospital and Rehab, home to some and just a day visit to others.'
"Quick response. How's it look?" Spencer nearly spilled his coffee. Over his shoulder, Aaron smiled, taking the mug and put it aside on the desk.
"It looks... nice. Like a cozy place. Sunny. They've got a pharmacy, a courtyard, lounge areas and a cafeteria and things like that," Spencer took the mug again, sipping from it as he scrolled down the page. Hands fell on his shoulders, thumbs massaging into his neck. He knew Aaron was reading over his shoulder.
"You like it?" Spencer pursed his lips, looking up and Aaron took off his glasses. He shrugged, taking another sip.
"Yeah, actually. I do. The only thing I'm worried about though iiiis," Spencer took a moment to scroll down the page where the staff was listed, small pictures accompanying their names. He pointed to two girls, both blond, both with matching bright smiles -- and matching faces at that, "Those two. Kelly and Barbie."
"... weren't those the names of the actual Barbie doll and her little sister?" Spencer looked up at Aaron again. The other man was staring curiously at the screen. He shook his head, running a hand through his hair, pushing strands from his face and chuckled. The older man looked down at him with a raised brow and a questioning stare.
"I don't know what to be more afraid of Aaron, those two or the fact you know about Barbie and her little doll sister, Kelly."

lol you're either enjoying being a mod, or you and Tori have finally re-made nice and I'm assuming its the last, since the Gale!planning that hadn't got done with me suddenly got done with her while I was gone. xD ♥

I know, I know ;0; But you'd mentioned before that you two rarely talked and you hardly knew her. So. (It was hardly meant as a dig, love. ♥ ) Somehow I'm not surprised that's what happened. u____u ...I'm still trying to get Sarah to join as Ringo or Mulder... *shot*

See, I looked at that phrase as having two meanings, the other being just...well, becoming better friends with someone. I knowww ;; I've been trying to get her to come here for that; seeing as the other RPers seemed to border along the phychosis side of mental disorders.
