Technology eats my work again

three pages worth of a hand written paper that I had second drafted into what I felt was a really good form...gone. For no good reason. Blink. and it's eaten. Eaten by the 4500 pound alligator found swimming in the water of New Orleans? The one with a taste for humans since it was getting too old and slow and fat to bother chasing other prey? They won't know until they do the autopsy.
