I drove down the parkway through illuminated strands of web. Trees holding stone to mountains. After two days of useless tears and emotion overwhelming thought, I am more centered, and by the skin of my teeth. Which, BTW, is a great play, much better than 'our town'.
Dar Williams saved my life. Via Kristina. Thank You. THANK YOU. It's like falling in love with Dire Straits original of Romeo and Juliet, then hearing Amy Ray sing it. Dar singing "Comfortably numb" helped me remember how to build a levy inside when the water runs high.
And that we are all a part of the web. Whether this one, or the strange and complex one that is Hollins, or the spiders that jumped fearlessly across the road to rid our lives of just a FEW more bugs.
Brooke had a dream that Alli and I were swimming in a lake and everyone jumped in with us, but then Brooke started drowning, and we had to save her.
I woke up this morning with my feet on Kyla's head. She was lying at the very end of the bed, backwards diagonal.
I wonder how long it will be until it gets cold.
I wonder how long it will stay warm.
