Madeline was curled up with her back pressed to Ling's chest, his arm draped over her and her hand resting on top of his. It had been just recently that they had gotten Shen-Li to sleep in his own bed, and when she had laid down for bed that night, Madeline had fallen asleep almost immediately, much to Ling's disappointment

Madeline blushed brightly at that and kissed his fingers again. "W-well, maybe tomorrow, I can see if Rosie will let him go over and play with Viola... Then we can spend the day... together,"

Ling's grin grew even wider at that. "It may take more than a day, you realize. We should not count on the same blessing that brought us this one."

"W-we'll have to try really hard, then," she whispered. "As often as possible. T-to make sure it works."

"Oh yes," Ling said, "And we'll have to try all sorts of ways, don't you think?"

"Do you think that will help?" She asked, giving him a curious look.

"Perhaps, but it will be more fun at least, don't you think?"

Madeline flushed again and nodded. "Yeah... a-and I could dress up for you again, if you wanted..."

"Perhaps I could send away for even more things to wear, hmm?"

"Wh-what would you send for?"

[flamel_hawk]

"Perhaps something a princess or a lady of the court might wear," Ling offered.
