'you fall in love with me' Alisha/Simon 203 picspam + commentary
Opening scene, Alisha gets almost mugged, until Superhoodie is there to save her. Honestly, when I saw this scene in the preiviews, I wasn't too excited to see that someone could touch her. I don't know why... really wasn't interested in a new character.
Alisha goes to Simon, who also seems the most interested in Superhoodie as she is. She gets frustrated when Simon, obviously not knowing how to act around her, has no further answers on the mysterious stranger and lashes out at him. I love how awkward Simon is around her. While he seems to be a littler more looser around Kelly and, on a somewhat smaller level Nathan, he's still visibly tense around Alisha, which I find pretty cute.
Alisha goes looking for trouble and decides to pick a fight. Antonia was super adorable in this scene, I think. How she kinda hesitates, thinking for a minute maybe it's not such a good idea. Superhoodie, who she guessed in an earlier episode, was following her, came to her rescue as she falls down a flight of stairs.
She wakes up in our stalkers lair and starts to look around. I honestly didn't think he'd be there. I thought they'd keep us guessing until later this season. And then when I saw him in the shower, I started geeking out. For a minute I wondered if it was the prohbation worker, who always seems to look the other way and just doesn't care about what our Misfits our doing. Surely he's just not bad at his job and is just protecting them. Then, our mystery man turned around, and it's Simon! My first thought: Evil twin! Or a clone!
Okay, whose feed started playing Sweeney Todd music at this point? I was so confused.. I started randomly closing all other tabs I had opened. At the time, I was super pissed, but in hindsight, I guess its pretty amusing. Anyhoo...holy mindfuck! It's Simon from the future! She reacts the same way she would to Our Simon, until he calmly tells her he is from the future. She's, surprisingly, accepting of the fact that he's from the future. (But she does have a superpower so....) He touches her face, asking about her cut. She's visibly unsure of how to act and decides to leave. It's obvious Future!Simon has feelings for Alisha, which make me think something happens to her.
Poor Simon, eating lunch by himself. Alisha decides to make ammends and he wonders why she's beingso nice. She's defends herself, but she's obviously upset that his perception of her is such a bad one. Antonia and Iwan are both so great in this scene. She's always been given the 'stand still, look pretty' storylines and it was a nice surprise to see so much depth given to her. This apology scene was so great. She truely looks so sorry, like she almost can't look at him.
Future!Simon sneaks into Alisha's room and this is one of my favorite scenes from the episode( but really, with such an amazing ep there isn't really a least favorite). I was amused at how he furrowed his brow a little at the desktop image of Alisha and Curtis and his absolutely horrible attempts at hiding. He returns her necklace and by this point, I think he touches her because he knows it's going to effect her. Push home the fact that he's there for her and she's his. Or going to be. She mentions that she doesn't feel very good about herself and liked the fact that Our!Simon tells her she's beautiful, with nothing to gain and without the added help of her power. He tells her they are going to be together, that she will fall in love with him and she's freaked out. She tells him to fuck off and I honestly can't tell if he's hurt or if he's slightly smiling.
After her fight with Curtis, she heads back to Future!Simons lair. God I love romances where they just can't help it. He's obviously expecting her because he's waiting by the door. Or maybe he just heard her coming? Anyways, she's confused so he sweetly(and hotly) holds her. Sexual tension abounds, but, of couse, he has to go. He tells her to wait and she wonders what she's doing. He, very adorably, tells her that everythings going to be alright because, duh, he's from the future.
She's watching a video he has just lying around because apparently he brings back some things from the future. She wants to know if something happens to her and he assures her he won't let anything happen which only reinforce my thoughts that something does happen. They start to kiss and then have an amazingly hot love scene. I'm just going to leave it at that because I don't want to sound like a creep. Oh...and Antonia and Iwan have serious chemistry, jfc.
Afterglow, I smiled so hard my 13 year old fangirl self would even tell me to real it in a little. He lets a few(or a lot) of things slip out about the two of them. I love these two and I love the scene but I really wish he wouldn't tell her so much. If I ever travel back in time, Doc Brown would play like a record in my mind. The one thing I do love is that she gets jealous when she finds out she is not his first. I wonder how she's going to react when the time comes for Our!Simon to eventually love his V-Card.
Simon is hotly working out and she asks if they are seeing each now and he says yes. He tells her not to tell anyone but she doesn't want to string Curtis along. She gets annoyed and he tells her she has to trust him. With the gang, Kelly brings up Future!Simon and Alisha just wants to leave him be, which earns her a suspicious look from Simon. She can't really bring herself to look back at him. Nathan, who was absolutely fantastic in this ep, eases the tension byt molesting a bare one legged(only legged) mannuqeuin.
