Title: originally "soul of fire"
Pairing: 2woo
Rating: R (more for the graphic aspect of it, but I'm sure there is NC-17 on the way)
Genre: supernatural, smut, romance, action, horror
Summary: Dongwoo couldn't just have a normal job like other humans. Hell, he couldn't be normal period. Even with the help of his new hell hound familiar, it was still a hard job being a necromancer, especially with a soul snatcher on the loose praying on humankind that would like nothing more than to take over his body.
Part Two
The body shifted frantically beneath their grasps, so much so that Dongwoo slipped on the man's entrails and fell over into his cold pool of blood. The expression he had on his face must have been priceless by Woohyun's sudden fit of laughter.
"You better shut the hell up," Dongwoo grumbled, then fell back again as one of the zombie's legs kicked him back onto his ass.
"I can't help it, it's like you're a walking body gag!" His hands easily held the zombie down, which was lucky, because zombies had the strength of ten men on a bad day, something about the magic flowing through their veins. The first time Dongwoo had tried to animate a corpse by himself had ended... rather poorly, even he could admit to that. He still apologized every night for the neighbors animals that had been eaten in that wild goose chase.
"Better than a walking std," he growled back, doing his best to wipe the blood on his hands onto his jeans, careful to avoid the flailing legs this time.
"Aww, you wound me. Trust me, if you'd been trapped in a body that wasn't your original form for thousands of years with no sex, you'd want to fuck everyone in a ten mile radius too. You're just jealous of my sex appeal." And in an odd way, he was. Even holding down a putrid writhing corpse with blood smeared around his mouth, Woohyun still looked amazing. Bitch.
"Whatever," he grumbled. "When is this one's fight gonna give out?"
"Soon," Woohyun promised, and even as he said it, the corpse began to relax, and eventually stopped struggling all together. It was a common reaction after reanimating a corpse, the body just starts back up where it had last left off, in this man's case, he had been fighting for his life. Shame he didn't win.
The zombie slowly looked up at Woohyun who was still holding his wrists, a growl slowly forming in it's throat. Woohyun scoffed, a growl of his own ready to come out.
"Now stop that," Dongwoo commanded, and the man's head slowly turned to the sound of his voice, his gaze foggy until finally resting on Dongwoo's face, his eyes suddenly lighting up. At Dongwoo's nod, Woohyun let go of the man's wrists, watching in annoyance as he crawled over to Dongwoo, his head resting on his feet, his arms coming around his calves in a vice like grip. He did his best not to be disgusted as he took in the man's appearance, the corpse's own knees squishing what was left of his organs falling out of the hole in his stomach.
Dongwoo gulped back bile, but let his hand come down to rest lovingly on the man's gorey mess of a head. "I'm sure you realize this, but you were just recently murdered. I brought you back so that I could hopefully catch your killer and put your soul to rest. Do you remember anything that happened?"
The zombie's eyes closed briefly in pain before he began slowly, as if his jaw were broken, and maybe it was. "Woke up... nightmare... felt like something... something was inside. Ripping me open, wanting to live inside... it's eyes.... it's eyes..." the zombie convulsed, fell silent.
"What about it's eyes," Dongwoo urged on, but the body at his feet was shaking, silent laughter making the shoulders move up and down rapidly. The face that looked up at him was no longer the same zombie, it's formerly cloudy blue eyes a flat black, bleeding into the whites of the eyes until no color remained.
"You can't have his soul, it's mine," the voice hissed, it's pitch changing with every syllable. "This body will be mine soon enough too," it said, bloody hands caressing Dongwoo's legs.
"Okay, that's enough," Woohyun growled, pulling the possessed corpse away from Dongwoo, who was frozen in shock.
"You'll be useless to me, Nam Woohyun, but I'll enjoy feasting on your-" Kicking the zombie onto the ground, the heel of his boot fell firmly on the zombie's skull, caving in the man's head, brains becoming mush against the marble floor. It's true that destroying the brain would put the undead back to just plain dead, but Dongwoo had never had to use brute force before. Falling onto his knees, his lunch came back up and out of him in waves, sweat covering his body as he threw up until there was nothing left to do but dry heave, Woohyun coming over to rest his hand on his back.
"Was that the soul snatcher..." Dongwoo asked shakily.
"I'm not so certain that's what this is anymore," Woohyun said blankly, picking Dongwoo up princess style and walking them out of the house, not that Dongwoo said anything about the manner in which he was removed from the place, merely glad to be out of there.
"It knew your name..."
"Yep, that was fucked up," Woohyun agreed easily, hailing a taxi. "You hungry at all? Cause I'm starved." Dongwoo made a face, opting to just look out the window instead, not even going to argue when Woohyun slid next to him and sat so their bodies were touching from shoulder to knees. Woohyun's body was normally ten to twenty degrees hotter than the average person, but right now Dongwoo felt so cold he pushed in closer to the man at his side.
"I didn't realize it was possible to possess a zombie, especially with my powers already inside reanimating it..."
"Learn something new every day, don't we? But I took the chance that it wouldn't hurt you if I destroyed the brain, and it didn't. Which means the thing that took over his body had already kicked out your power all together."
"That shouldn't be possible..."
"Technicalities. Anything's possible in the afterlife, sweet cheeks." They sat in silence the rest of the ride home. The driver wouldn't be sleeping that night thanks to their not so quiet conversation. After paying the frazzled man, they got out and started the nine story trek up to their place.
When they finally reached the apartment door, Woohyun growled under his breath, finding the door already slightly open. Good thing Dongwoo hadn't noticed yet. "Nope, I've changed my mind, we are going out to eat. There is nothing in the fridge and you just threw up enough nutrients for three people," he said, part of himself ghosting through the apartment, checking for intruders, human or no.
"Woohyun.... I'm covered in gore and my breath smells like vomit. Just let me shower and go to bed."
Finding nothing, he let his spirit close and lock the door on it's way back. Dongwoo looked up at him oddly as he felt Woohyun's energy slide back into his body, but said nothing, probably just chalked it up to another hell hound secret. Watching Dongwoo fumble with his keys and enter the apartment like there was nothing wrong made him sigh in relief. Best not to freak him out anymore than he already was tonight. If someone was trying to get to Dongwoo, he was the best defense the kid had anyway.
Dongwoo walked straight to the bathroom, his hand absently reaching for his toothbrush in the dark. Woohyun came in, flipping the light on, his eyes scanning suspiciously around the room.
"Why do you do that?" Dongwoo asked, toothpaste foam flicking from his lips.
"Do what?"
"Turn the lights on. It wouldn't make a difference either way for you."
"Maybe I'm afraid of the dark," Woohyun pouted, hopping up to sit on the sink counter. Dongwoo guffawed before spitting out the remaining toothpaste, placing the brush back into it's holder and going over to turn on the shower.
"You can turn your body into a flaming torch, and you're afraid of the dark. Right," Dongwoo said chuckling, pulling his shirt up and over his head, his pants and boxers also quickly following, making a pile onto the ground. He'd throw those away later. The amulets around Dongwoo's neck stayed on like always as he stepped into the steaming water. Woohyun tried his best not to get aroused, but that was like telling a cat not to be an asshole. It just didn't work. He growled in frustration and turned to leave, but Dongwoo called out to him.
"Stay..." Dongwoo muttered, but it was loud enough for Woohyun's ears to pick up.
"I'm just going to get you a change of clothes."
"I'll get them after, I'll be quick, just stay in here, okay?" Dongwoo said, his tone holding a desperate underlying note. It was easy to forget how young Dongwoo was sometimes. It wasn't fair he had to deal with this kind of shit at his age. Explained why most necromancers killed themselves off long before they got to this point or merely went insane. Maybe he would have already if he hadn't summoned Woohyun... "Uh oh. That silence means you're thinking again, what have I told you about thinking?"
Woohyun laughed, pulling his clothes off as well. "You're right. I'm much more of an instinctual kind of guy," he said before he hopped into the shower right along with him. When Dongwoo's back fell back against his chest, he wanted to purr in contentment. He wished Dongwoo would lean on him more often.
"What, you want me to shampoo your hair?" The sound Dongwoo made was unintelligible, so he took that as a yes, chuckling as Dongwoo all but passed out in his arms as he began massaging his scalp. Ten minutes later and he was dragging Dongwoo out of the shower to towel them both off. The fact that Dongwoo wasn't even remotely turned on frustrated him to no end, but he had to remind himself of what the kid had seen not even an hour ago. Just because he was a sick fuck didn't mean Dongwoo was. Damn.
He tried to pick Dongwoo up again but the boy squirmed out of his arms, making his way to the bedroom and flopping haphazardly onto the mattress, forgoing clothes.
"Did you really use that much magic tonight?"
"Cut me some slack, I feel like shit," he grumbled, rolling over until the covers encircled him like a cocoon.
"You want me to sleep with you?" Woohyun asked happily, jumping into bed with him just as naked. If it were up to Woohyun, he'd be naked 24/7, so Dongwoo was rather used to nudity by now. The first week had been hilarious though.
"You say that like you don't every night anyway."
"Well yeah, but you won't let me tell the girls at school that."
"Why, so they can get the wrong idea and hate me even more than they already do?"
Pulling the covers enough so he actually had some, not that he needed any, he asked, "Why would they hate you more?"
"Are you kidding? I'm surprised you haven't slept with all of them yet."
"I don't sleep with children. You of course being the exception," he promised, sighing in disappointment as Dongwoo scooted away from his cuddling advances.
He waited until the boy's breathing evened out to pull him back into his arms, his smile devious as he said, "Now what kind of sex should we have tonight?"
A/N: xDDDD Woohyun fucks Dongwoo in his sleep?! Not really... kinda??? lmao I guess I'll just explain next chapter xD It's going to be interesting balancing out the comedy/fluffy/romance/smut in this with the horror/action I think, but I'll do my best! Also yes, I changed the title, Luhan was right, it was just too short for my tastes xD Thanks for the title, girlie! I'm trying to think of something to add... but that's all I got at the moment! Let me know what you guys think ^^ Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy it at least a little bit >.<
