[After setting out from New Bark town two days ago, Estelle has been reading a lot about what a pokémon trainer is supposed to do. She's gotten used to having Chansey follow her around, though she hasn't decided on the proper name for her new friend just yet. But a name is necessary! Otherwise it would be like calling Repede 'dog' because he was one!
She's also been working pretty hard, once she got the general idea, to catch another one. A group (swarm? Flock?) of Hoppip went by earlier and she got to battle a few, but didn't manage to catch any. Slowly, though, she's getting better at this.
So when the ball lands solidly and doesn't pop back open after many long seconds, Estelle practically jumps up and down with excitement over her success, and rushes to the pokégear to turn on the video]
Yuri! I caught one! [holding the ball with the Pidgey inside up to the screen; it doesn't seem to bother her that everyone else can hear and see this too. She's too excited] I caught a little bird!
