Peter was many things but stupid was not one of them. Except for the part where he kissed Celeste and lost his mate in the same day. Honestly, if he had known that the girl was a witch who decided it would be fun to put a whammy on him, he would have stayed far, far away from her. Unfortunately, there was no getting rid of his little stalker and in the end the cheerleader's spell had done its damage.
After the kiss he never wanted in the first place, John would no longer speak to him. Whenever he tried Melissa and Constance would block Peter's way. He desperately wanted to talk to his mate but John wanted nothing to do with him. It wasn't too long after the Prom, he seemed to have disappeared from Beacon Hills completely.
Peter would have tried to find him but high school got in the way. Once graduation came and went, he was ready to look for John. Then the proverbial shit hit the fan and he lost most of his family to a fire.
His life after that was nothing but pain and darkness. Bound to a wheelchair as his body slowly began to heal. When he was finally awaken from his slumber, Peter wasn't the same and John was back in town.
By the time, he got his act together and became the sassy beta that every knew and barely tolerated, his mate was already with someone else. As much as he would love to kill Chris to worm his way back into John's life, he knew he couldn't. So he tried another approach by becoming Stiles' research partner when Lydia was out shopping.
There was something about the boy that Peter almost appreciated. In fact that were something Peteresque about the teen. Sure, Stiles could be a pain in his ass but Peter could appreciate his dark sense of humor. In fact, he would like to imaged that if he and John ever had a child that Stiles would be that kid. Unfortunately, that was impossible because lets face it men weren't able to get pregnant.
Yet, something bothered Peter about Stiles. Like the fact that the kid had not John feature but he also look a bit like Peter's mother. Still there was no way in hell that his former lover had his baby or did he? There were too many signs pointing to the fact that Stiles' might be his son. There was still so many things in werewolf lore that could more than just legend. Like the fact that a mate male or female were able to get pregnant on the night of a blue moon. There was a slim possibility, if the fable was true, that John had been expecting his child when he left Beacon Hill. Peter needed to find out the truth and nothing would stop him from getting it.
