Danny wonders sometimes how they can know how smart he is and still think he wont figure out what's going on. Okay he can admit it took him a while to clue in, but he lives here for Christ’s sake and he has seen some really weird shit. It does not take a rocket scientist to put two and two together and come up with werewolves. Especially when you play Lacrosse with them.

It explained so much about Jackson, the first time he saw Scott McCall go all furry-evil-browridge of doom.

He tried to ask Stilinski about it because obviously if McCall was involved then Stilinski was to. It wasn't like anyone had figured out how to separate those two. Where one went the other was right there. Asking Stilinski didn't help though, he just got all freaked out and tried to lie (which he was not that great at) and pretend he had no idea what Danny was talking about. Guy had a shit poker face.

He asked Lydia out right. She just lifted one perfect brow and dismissed him and his question without a word. Danny did not miss the fact that she was trying to hide how nervous his question made her. But she wasn't talking about anything except the sale at Macy's, and the chem test they had coming up.
It's not like he really expected a straight answer. But he didn't expect her to look so scared. As if she had been caught at something. It made Danny wonder exactly what she had to hide. He could think about that later. After he figured out what the hell was going on with his best friend.

He watched, gathered info, and waited for his moment. The one where he could just walk up to Jackson tell him he knew what was going on and demand the truth.

The moment never came. One day he was watching still to figure out if Jackson was one of them? And the next day Jackson was gone. Just. Gone. And Danny was left with a million questions and no where to go with them and not even bothering to pretend his friend hadn't been gone since he started keeping secrets.

He got an email from Jackson talking about nothing, including where the hell he was and when he was coming back. It left a feeling in the pit of Danny's stomach as if something had come to an abrupt (permanent) end.

There was nothing left to do but keep going to school and keep trying to figure what the hell it all meant, because Jackson might be gone but Danny's questions weren't.
