Okay this is the end of the 6 part prequel to a larger story I will be working on at a little bit later date. The man story will pick up after this and most important this part takes care of the Sheriff knowing and why he is willing to help Derek. Still up in the air if I want to keep it Gen or make it Stiles/Derek.
Also the prompt is in there in a round about way. I'll post them at the bottom if you don't see it.
Surprisingly to Stiles, his father listened to the complete story from Derek. That didn't mean he didn't stop the tale to ask questions, but the Sheriff acted more like his job title, and less like the outraged father, Stiles thought his dad would be.
“Okay, Derek, I know you're the alpha, but as of today, you're going to stop thinking you need to do everything by yourself. Don't disagree with me, half the problems you and your pack got into would be fixed faster if you learn to trust people and ask for help.”
“You're not the only person who told me that sir,” Derek said uneasy.
Nodding the Sheriff continued, “First thing is that you and the rest of your betas will not be leaving in a burnt out house or any more abandoned building. You can't live in lair like an evil villain, and it's not healthy mentally for any of you. Stiles, you said Melissa knows about her son?”
“Yeah Dad, she saw Scott shot at the station, and he was wolf'd out when he tried to save you two. It was when you were knocked out.” Stiles hated anything about that night, he knew that both him and his father still and nightmares.
“Good, I'll talk to Melissa and see if she'll take in Isaac. He needs someone like her after what his father did. That boy has to learn to trust again, and Melissa will treat him like another son, much like my own over here.”
Stiles couldn't argue with that, Mrs. McCall had been his motherly influence since his mom died. From teaching him to cook, to sitting him down to have the talk with Scott, after she over heard Stiles and Scott talk about the epically bad one that his father gave him.
The Sheriff continued, “You, on the other hand are going to move into my guest room. I know your old enough to get your own place, but I think at a time like this it's time to 'circle the wagons' so to speak.”
“I can't put you out like that, sir.”
“You're not. There's a lot of mess to clean up, and as long as I 'm in charge of the safety of the county, I will be in the loop. How many people died last time? You know what was causing the killing and I had the evidence to try to track them down.” Stiles almost flinched at the hardness of his fathers voice when he added, “werewolves, hunters and what-nots at not going to cause any more havoc on this community. I understand the need to not tell the word about werewolves and anything else out there, but how many people have been taken advantage of or killed from what just boils down to a blood feud? We're not the Hatfields and McCoys.”
Neither Stiles nor Derek could disagree. Poor choices were made all around. Hell, even Chris Argent made mistakes in not trusting the Hale Pack.
“If anyone ask Derek, we just say that you're staying with us because your father and I were friends, which is not a lie at all. I also think you'll benefit like Isaac. You lost your family too young, and had to grow-up too fast, take time to heal from what you have lost or it will eat you, like your uncle.”
“Almost like the big brother I never had,” Stiles added, “Face it dude you're going to be a Stilinski now.”
Looking at the wicked grin that both Stilinski men wore, Derek didn't know if he was going to like the turn his life taken now.

So Isaac in taken in by the McCalls, and some ground work for the idea of Isaac, Scott as brothers. Derek is taken in by the Stilinski's. We also have Derek's life taken a new turn with a new ally, in the Sheriff. We also see the Sheriff take a new role in the Supernatural BS thats in Beacon Hills.
