I want to thank everyone who has been a wonderful, loyal member of the Fullmoon Ficlet community. We've created some great work here, and I've seen wonderful stories grow and thrive because of this community. You are all amazing

Well, I'm not sure I'll keep writing because of how this fandom is and how I feel now... but I don't like posting new stuff on Tumblr. I only post there once I've posted on AO3 and sometimes that happens months later... yesterday I posted something I wrote in March. I like having everything here to be honest. This is very sad but it's your community :(
(For me posting on Tumblr is a waste of time because nobody reads my stuff there, so I had decided not to post there anymore.)
*you don't need to answer to this.. just saying how I feel but it's not your problem*
I hope you're not deleting this community because I still have things left to post and I come here to check the prompt that I had used.
I will not be deleting the community, but I will be disabling posting.
The announcement post and rules are up on Tumblr. No one is required to post to Tumblr. For myself, I plan on reblogging to sign up, then posting the actual fics on AO3. There is a form to submit a link to the fic/ficlet/art, and we will post a masterlist on the weekend. None of the works will have to be posted on Tumblr, and none will be reblogged on the Tumblr--only the masterlist.
This move will make it easier for a spread out fandom. Art and fics/ficlets can be posted anywhere that's convenient for the creator. Fics can go directly on AO3. Art can go on Tumblr or wherever folks prefer. And art can include image sets, etc. so much more easily.
And hopefully we can reach more creators, and more readers, and revitalize a community which has been nearly dead for much of the last two years.
well, when I said "yesterday I posted something I wrote in March" I was talking about AO3.. when I write something I don't want to post it there most of the time until months later if it's for my series.
I don't understand how the sign up works or how you will see the links. I'll try to find out. Thanks! :)
To sign up, simply reblog the prompt post any time between Sunday morning and Tuesday morning (EST). I won't be posting a list of people who signed up; unfortunately I haven't had time to do that for a long while. Reblogging the prompt is intent to attempt to create for that week.
There is a link on the prompt post (as well as in the rules) to the submission form for the masterlist. Once you've posted, all you need to do is click that link, fill in the fields (which is all the information about your work, including a link) and as long as you also reblogged the prompt post, it'll be included in the masterlist. It'll be super easy.
Would it be possible to have a way to reblog/promote -without- intent to create that week? I'd love to regularly promote FMF on my tumblr but will write maybe once in 8 weeks. Maybe reblog is reblog, reblog + like is "I'll write this one" or some such.
Thanks for all your work and for keeping FMF alive :D
There's absolutely no penalty for reblogging and not writing, so a signal boost is fine. Or if you want to tag it signal boost, that would work too (which is what I usually do if I'm reblogging in something but not participating).
Thanks. I'm doing my best to try to keep it alive, but I'm not doing very well at it right now. I uh... am behind. A little. On things. Life's been chaotic.
