This is wonderful - Derek trying so so hard to give away the absolute bare minimum because he can't imagine Stiles would want more than that. And I love stories like this where everything doesn't magically turn into sunshine and rainbows at the end, but there's still a clear indication of hope. Very nice.

Thank you so much! I miss the super emotionally constipated guy from seasons 1 and 2 so I had to go back to that definitely. *nods, nods, nods* And, yeah, I am exactly the same. I don't even like to write, "I love you," in fics and am always seeking ways to show it rather than say it because I'm kind of prone to, 'Um, you're feeling your feelings rather close to me so could you maybe do that outside? Thanks.' *coughs*
