Cross posting this since there are only three people reading my Dreamwidth journal and one of those is me. And I need help - quickly.
I know, I know. I don't post at my LJ for months on end, and then I have the sheer nerve to post asking for favours.
Here is the short version.
All Romance Ebooks are having a contest for paranormal short stories

Hopefully I can get two or three people to look it over and between the lot of us we can hopefully catch all the mistakes. *fingers crossed*
You didn't think it would be so soon? I didn't actually think I would manage it EVER. My New Year Resolution was to get something submitted to a publisher. I never expected my first submission to be accepted so swiftly. I just got really lucky to find a relatively new publisher (who is really good and helpful by the way) who was looking to expand on their male/male writers.
I can't believe it is only a month ago that I submitted the story and got the email accepting it. I expected to be spending the end of August and September waiting to hear from them and making the time pass by quicker by finishing off those lingering WIPs. Instead it has been a whirlwind of editing (which is not over yet), setting up a new blog, figuring out how to add to a Wiki (I am still working on that) and squeeing madly.
Thanks for offering to buy a copy. I am dreading having no sales at all and them therefore declining the next thing I submit to them. SP itself offers eight different formats so hopefully you will find one that you can read.

I have some running around to do but I'm sure I can start reading before Tuesday now.
About your new book, I had my credit card in hand but when I clicked through to Silver Publishing and saw how many choices of file they have, I got excited! My Nook is by Barnes and Noble so of course, it's designed to make getting ebooks from them a breeze. I do make pdf files of long fanfictions though and download them although sometimes it's glitchy. So I'm thrilled that I'll be able to do this properly once I decide what format I want. Halloween is my favorite holiday, not family, fun and low expectations so I'm never disappointed. Most years, I have myself a fright fest all month with movies and books and this year, your sexy ghost tale will culminate my celebrations! &hearts

I seem to recall something on my publisher's mailing list about delays in putting things up at Barnes & Noble due to problems with the store, so you may have to wait a bit longer if those problems are still continuing. It is the only one that is having delays and is something to do with the store's difficulties.
The UK doesn't really do much for Halloween I'm afraid. Just another night with the very occasional group of kids coming around trick or treating.
Good luck with the car - ours is in the garage at the moment as well - some idiot backed into us and trashed the book and right rear lights.
