Aaaaawww.... that's gorgeous! I love the idea that he kept the flower, and I love Lily teaching him to fly! How appropriate!

Thank you. I like the idea that he was taught to fly by Lily, instead of Voldemort as well. I contend that McGonagall got it wrong when she said he had picked up a few tricks from his master. I think Voldemort might have picked it up from Snape.

A very sweet story, well told and it feels perfectly canon for what we know of these characters and children their age! The last three lines make a really great ending to the tale.

Thank you for your kind comments on my story. I like to think that Snape and Lily must have had some happy times together and that if Snape's memories to Harry had included some happy ones, this - or something like it - might have been one of them.

I also like to think that it was Lily who taught Severus to fly, and not Voldemort.

It's funny but I've seen several fics and an art entry on LJ about Lily teaching Severus to fly but your story seems to be older and it's my favorite of them. That's why I chose this one for crack_broom.

I looked up the first archive I posted this at. It was written before I had a LJ, and can tell you that it was written on 12 August 2007 (or more likely over the couple of days before that). Obviously quite soon after DH was released.
