Well, of the two votes for the December sneak peek, only one of those is now applicable. The scene with the ghosts has now been posted - I hope werewolfsfan  enjoyed it in the original context of the story.

Awww, that's very sweet of you

There is no way I can cut Once in a Blue Moon short. It just keeps getting longer and longer. The end (the last four chapters and epilogue) have been written for ages, what keeps happening is other stuff creeping into the story without permission and making it even longer.

One example is the appearance of a new 'sort of canon' character (Benjy Fenwick) late in the fifth year. Member of the Order of the Phoenix in canon: Slytherin seventh year with a penchant for trouble who leads Sirius into various forms of rebellious mischief in this fic.

I have one sequel planned for Once in a Blue Moon which will almost definitely be posted - that is the MPreg one which is already partially written.

The centaurs and Romulus will be spin offs (rather than sequels) if I do write them and would cover events that have already been in Once in a Blue Moon - but in more detail. Whether I write those ones will depend on whether I can get all the details I want into the main story or not. If I think that there is still a lot left unsaid, and with no way to fit it into the story, then I will do the spin offs.

Someone else has also suggested a Regulus at Sheila Shuttleworth's School for Squibs spin off, which is also intriguing.

I am a little bit tempted to do a couple of one shots for Firenze and Regulus and posting them here at LJ to see how they are received.

Also, much love for the Sirius getting caught with gay porno magazines. poor guy. I'm looking forward to seeing how you had him tell Regulus. I'm with werewolfsan about the massive love for your characters. It truly is better than the barely existent canon.

Well, the Regulus spin off fic may never actually materialise. It all depends on what I have on my plate when this story is finished and whether I get any inspiration for it. It is an interesting suggestion that has cropped up a couple of times now though.

I can tell you now that the chapter where Sirius comes out to Regulus will be chapter 39 (not 40 - that was my mistake with the numbering - stupid prologue is listed as chapter 1 and it throws me out all the time).

Regarding the canon, I am rather curious to know what canon JKR actually has on the marauders and the other characters who are not in Harry's generation. She must have some details...
