Well, we have JKR to blame for that really, don't we?

Though I don't personally believe that there was a romantic relationship between them in canon, even as friends Sirius must have been devastated to realise that he had wrongly suspected Remus of being the traitor.

I promise not all my prompt fics will be so angsty. I am going to try to evenly (or at least roughly) split them between romance, humour and angst. Which is partly why I (very sadly) colour-coded the prompt table.

Very moving. Poor Sirius. And poor Remus. Actually, poor Marauders. (I even feel sorry for Peter in many ways.)

Thanks. I too feel sorry for Peter sometimes. Though more in the way that he is treated by fandom when marauder era fics are written. When I include him in my fics I do try to give him a personality that doesn't involve him being a secret Death Eater.
