I liked that line too. I think that Sirius (in this fic at least) wouldn't want to think of his relationship with Remus as just shagging, but he would be unable to stop the expression that he knows would wind James up even more.

You didn’t really think that I would be able to stay away from this for long, did you?! The long awaited Marauder portrait tale! And it’s a sequel to my favorite completed fic of yours!
Sooooooooooo …………………….. That’s some list the puppies have with at least 30 different fantasies to be enacted! Oh boys!
My favorite exchange so far in this witty offering is this:

“I was thinking that with all the portraits around the school it might be interesting if we left the school portraits of us. You know, to remember us by?”

“You think McGonagall will ever forget us?” Sirius asked, aghast at the very idea.

“I was thinking more of the students learning from us,” James explained. “We can help the pranksters for generations to come, instead of shushing those who wander the corridors at night or worse, tattling on us to Filch and the professors.”

“You think the teachers would like us hanging around after we’ve left?” Remus asked. “I imagine that they’re already planning a party to celebrate after we’ve gone.”

The list being that long isn't that much of a stretch actually. I actually started to list all the various locations I have seen in fanfics where the puppies were at it like bunnies. I got to 23 and then just upped it to the next multiple of ten. I may (if I have the time) do a picture of the list with the various annotations on it as the boys tick them off.

Glad you like the story so far. I just hope I can keep it up since I know how popular the first one was and would hate to disappoint.

When I read this was a sequel to The Oracle of Gryffindor, I had to read it!

Love the banter between the Marauders, it's so natural and funny. Though the constant PDAs drive James nuts (with reason, I guess, though I wouldn't mind:P) I think it's sweet.

The idea of Marauders portraits in Hogwarts? Gold^^

Thanks. Glad you like it so far.

I am sure that James has got over his trauma, but he likes playing it up far too much as it gets him his own way on occasion. Though as you can tell, Remus is losing patience with it so he won't be whining about it for too much longer.
