Yay summer dresses. I have two now, as of this afternoon. I can't remember the last time I bought a dress. The last time I bought a skirt was two years ago. One is fancy-ish and the other is not so fancy and looks like Frida Kahlo would give me props. I feel like a faker as I'm not used to being so airy and feminine, even if I cap off the look with flops.
Today I coached boy derby. There were only three dudes. I wondered if my valley girl instruction style would go over well with the menz, being that I sound ditzy 99% of the time and my voice is real squeaky. It was fine, and they were very thankful. I love derby because it's like the only place I've ever found where men who are older than me are grateful that I boss them around. It was so frickin hot on the unshaded black top, I instantly got a crucial farmer's sunburn which looks rather funny with these strappy new summer dresses (plus the heat rash on my neck and chest & the fungal infection in the crooks of my elbows. Derby in the summer wrecks my skin).
