Seventh Transmutation [Video/Action for Goldenrod Gym]
[Ed strolled into the Goldenrod City gym. He had been in the city for a while now, though he had been busy with the tournament and getting ready for this "Halloween" event. In any case, he finally got around to trying out for this badge. He wasn't too worried. Aurum and Colonel have been trained very well by this point. Even if Rain and Dragon had trouble, Ed knew he'd be able to fall back on the other two.
Aurum was pumped. It had been a while since he had been in a gym. He was ready to show what he was made of. He clung to Ed's shoulder, his ears twitching in anticipation. Meanwhile, Ed approached...the gym leader?]
Uh...I'm looking for the Gym Leader.
Well, you shouldn't be looking anymore! I'm Whitney, the Goldenrod Gym Leader!!
[The little girl looked so proud of herself. Oh well. Ed wasn't too surprised. Johto made little sense as it is. Of course a small child could be a gym leader! Then again, Ed was twelve when he joined the military. He had no room to talk.]
Right. Well, I'm here to challenge you for a badge. [He pointed at Whitney.]
I accept! Just don't underestimate me just 'cause I'm a kid! I've got the best Pokemon around!!
Yeah, yeah. I'm sure you do. Let's just get this over with.
[Ed and Whitney took their positions in the gym. Aurum hopped off of Ed's shoulder, ready to go once his trainer called on him.]
Girafarig! I choose you!!
Go Rain!!
[Both trainers sent out their Pokemon and readied themselves for their trainer's orders. Aurum looked up at Ed and scowled. You were supposed to send him out first, Ed.]
Start off with Water Pulse, Rain!!
Girafarig, use Psychic!!
[Rain the Wartortle took a deep breath before sending out a pulsing blast of water at her opponent, but the Girafarig was faster, sending out psychic waves towards the Wartortle. Rain staggered back. It was a pretty hard hit for her, but she was still standing. She used Water Pulse, but Whitney's Girafarig was able to dodge out of the way.]
Damnit! Rain, try Aqua Tail!
Psybeam, Girafarig!!
[Rain charged at the Girafarig, but once again, her opponent was faster and hit her with Psybeam. Rain tripped and fell, skidding on the ground before trying to pick herself back up. Psybeam had confused her, and she just stood there, looking around as if she had never seen the place before. Ed pulled out her Pokeball. Looks like she just wasn't ready for the gyms yet.]
Come on back, Rain.
[The Wartortle was called back to the Pokeball. Alright, time for Aurum to shine and win the day!!]
GO!! Colonel!!
[....Or not. He huffed and plopped down on the ground. Ed had to be doing this on purpose. What a jerk.]
Aggroooooooooon!! [The Aggron stomped the ground once he was released from his Pokeball. The Girafarig looked a bit unsure of itself.]
This one's gonna be a pushover like the last, Girafarig! Use Psybeam!!
Use Heavy slam, Colonel!
[Though the Girafarig was a lower level, it was still faster. In this case, it didn't matter much. Colonel got hit with the psybeam, but it hardly phased the Aggron. He charged at full speed at the Girafarig, slamming it hard. Colonel picked himself up, but the Girafarig stayed down.]
Oh no!! How could you?! Come on back, Girafarig! GO!! Clefable!!
C'mon Colonel. We've got this one. Use Heavy Slam again.
Use Metronome!!
[Colonel the Aggron rushed at the Clefable, which stood there waving it's hands back and forth. By the time Colonel reached it, it had started to glow...
BOOM!!!! An explosion rocked the gym. Ed, Aurum, and Whitney held their hands up to shied themselves. They all stood there, tense, waiting for the dust to settle to see what had happened. When it did, They could see Colonel standing there, looking bewildered. the Clefable was fainted on the ground, covered with singed hair. It had used explosion.]
Clefable!! Noooo!! [Whitney stomped her feet and called the poor Clefable back to its ball.] Miltank!! GO!!
[Ed opened his mouth to bark another order at Colonel when Aurum gave him a tiny shock, just enough to make him jump.]
AURUM!! What's your problem?!
Pika!!! Pikachu, pika pi pi!!
You're mad because you haven't had a chance to show off, have you?
[A fierce nod from the Pikachu.]
Have it your way. Hey, Colonel, it's Aurum's turn!
[Ed called him back to his ball and Aurum eagerly ran out on to the field. The Miltank snorted.]
Awwww!! What an adorable Pikachu!! Too bad he's not gonna last! Use Rollout, Miltank!
Thunderbolt!!
PiiiiiiiiKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!
[The Miltank didn't have a chance. It had only tucked itself into a ball before being hit by Aurum's thunderbolt. Since he was such a high level, it was a one hit KO. The Miltank flopped over.]
WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!
[Tears burst from Whitney's eyes. She called back the Miltank and pointed at Ed accusingly.]
Look what you did!! You made all my cute, adorable, precious Pokemon faint!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!
Grow up! I beat you fair and square! [He held his hand out for his not-so-hard-earned badge.]
You...you...you big MEANIE!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH
Hey, look. It's no big deal. A loss is a loss. Get over it and move on.
[Whitney continued to wail. Aurum looked back at Ed and shrugged. What a crybaby. Dear God, Hughes' daughter would act better than this, and she was three.]
What do I have to do to get you to stop crying?! Buy you a treat or something?!
[Whitney sniffled.]
I....I like ice cream.
[...Really? Little brat.]
Fine. I'll go buy you some ice cream, and you give me my badge.
Mkay!
[She ran out and grabbed Ed's wrist on her way. Aurum ran over to catch up.]
[The feed opens up to a rather annoyed looking Ed. He holds up his Plain Badge.]
Welp, here it is. I got a squirt bottle too, I guess to use on that Sudowoodo blocking the path up to Ecruteak. I'm planning on going back to Violet real quick to challenge Falkner again though.

[Ed turns, and Whitney waves at him with her ice cream cone, strawberry ice cream smeared around her lips before she heads back to her gym. He glares at her back until she turns the corner.]
I had to buy that brat ice cream to get her to stop crying. Little brat. She does that stuff on purpose, I know it.
[Aurum manages to hop up and wave before the feed ends. He managed to get Ed to buy him some ice cream too, and he's covered in it.]
