Post 22 [Video/Action for Mahogany Town Gym] Forward dated to afternoon of Aug. 13th
[The feed opens up to a close-up of Flame, Ed's Charmeleon. He's sitting on the sidelines with a Dratini and a Gible, all of whom are too under-leveled for this. Since Flame was throwing a hissy-fit over not being allowed to battle on account he would immediately faint despite the type advantage, Ed gave him the Pokegear to film. He makes a few funny faces into the camera before getting thwacked in the head by Aqua the Dratini, and it shows a nice view of the arena.
Aurum the Pikachu is out on the field for Ed while Price had sent out his Dewgong. The field is a sheet of ice with what looks like a few snow banks along the edges. The battle begins.]
Aurum, go ahead and use thunderbolt!
Pikaaaa CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!
[The Dewgong had no time to react. Aurum is more than a little over-leveled for this fight, and Price's Pokemon faints. He calls it back.]
Not bad at all, kid. Let's see what you do against this one. GO! LAPRAS!!
[This isn't the first time Ed's faced a gym leader, but he had thought that he would have been at least a little smarter than Falkner. Oh well. It works to his advantage.]
THUNDER!!
Piiiiiiiikaaaaaaaaaaa CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!
[A brilliant flash lights the gym and blinds just about everyone watching. Thunder from a level 90 Pokemon would do that. When the light dims, Aurum stands there looking like he's king of the world while the Lapras makes a failed attempt to stay in the game. It faints, and Price calls it back.]
Already down to my last Pokemon. Don't think this is the end! GO!! MAMOSWINE!!
Aurum, get back here!! You're done for now.
[Aurum returns to Ed's side. Ed did some research before going against this guy, so he knows full well that Aurum doesn't stand much of a chance against the Mamoswine.]
GO SCHATZI!!!
[Ed tosses the Pokeball in the ring and a Vulpix appears on the field to replace Aurum. She looks ready to go despite the Pokemon in front of her being multiple times her size. Type advantage for the win.]
USE FLAMETHROWER!!
[For people watching on the sidelines or tuning in, Ed's pretty pumped. He's practically jumping up and down for this. Damn, his Pokemon are awesome!
Schatzi lets out an enormous flame, melting the snow banks and a lot of the ice into small ponds of water. The Mamoswine is slow and can't get out of the way or react in time. It goes down with a small bit of its fur still smoldering. Schatzi looks back at Ed, waiting for approval. Ed doesn't disappoint her.]
Nice job there guys! [He pulls Aurum in close and waves Schatzi to come over, who dives into his arms. Victory scritches for EVERYONE! He turns his attention towards the gym leader.]
Looks like you owe me a badge, gramps.
Price doesn't look happy, but he's an honest man.]
Here you go, bean sprout. And take this-
A BEAN?! A BEAN?! MY POKEMON JUST KICKED YOUR ASS?! CAN A BEAN DO THAT?!
[Aurum sighs an takes the badge and the TM from Price while Schatzi, Flame, Aqua, and Dragon the Gible come to drag Ed back and keep him from punching the leader in the face. The transmission ends.]
Summary: Ed gets his Glacier Badge from Price! And yes, this be mod-approved!
