AX 2009 Con Report

So after all the panicking and scrambling to finish costumes, AX is finally over and done with. Overall, it was alright and pretty much what I expected of AX. I still don't like the location but... whatever. We made the best of what we had to work with and I had an overall pretty good time so yay. ^^ DAY 0:  For the record, I never go to Day 0...

...all I can say is Wow, just Wow. I'm still so amazed how much energy you put into cons and how much you do (not just you, but everyone O_o )

Sorry to hear that Kallen didn't work out but the rest your time seems to have been on excellent terms ^_^ *hugs*

Yeah, I get really into cons. And I hope I always will! But this one was only so-so. Still, I don't regret going and I have some really great pictures, so yay! ^^

Stupid Kallen... I'll either work on that or Oz, if I can't bring myself to work on Kallen yet. I know you realized I was upset when you came back to the room, but it was just...ugh. I swear I almost cut the freaking thing into bits and burned it, but Stef managed to convince me not to. Rargghhh... I think I'll need to borrow someone's machine because mine isn't strong enough.

I'm sorry to hear that Kallen didn't work out. :< Hopefully if you ever decide to finish it, you'll have some time to get it done the way you want to. As for gluing it, have you heard of fabri-tac? It's this amazing fabric glue that seems to work on everything. I've used it on leather shoe laces, shoes in general, ribbon, and multiple layers of vinyl for my Lavi holster, and all have stayed on. xD

It sounds like you had a great con other than that, though! You'd better post some pictures, especially of Avatar and Sailor Moon since I didn't get to see those in person. <3

I know Fabri-tac but didn't think it would work on vinyl... I'll try it, but I think I'll steal someone's better-than-mine machine and get some extra-strong needles to do the job properly. >< Stupid Kallen.

It's worked out fine for me on everything I've tried it on. xD Maybe test it on a bit of scrap fabric and see? But a stronger machine works, too. I had the same problem with my holster. I tried a special needle and thread and everything, but my machine just did not like the two layers of thick vinyl I was trying to get through it. XD
