YAY! Today was amazing! Everything went way better than i could have ever anticipated!
I drove to Milwaukee for the first time (wow, i know) and i didn't get us lost. Or killed! Yay! We went to the Titanic exhibit in Milwaukee, we got in for the 2:15 ticket thingy. I really enjoyed it. i love the Titanic, and when i say that its not because of the movie. Something about the story gets to me, i can't explain it, and its been like that way before the movie was ever released. Though i do like the movie. Still. It was difficult for me though mainly because i wanted to touch EVERYTHING but all the artifacts were in glass boxes. Damn it! And i didn't get to touch the steal that was brought up from the wreck, which was one of the big highlights of my chicago exhibit trip back in the 4th grade. I just love everything about the Titanic though! its kinda weird but more than anything in the world i wish i could have seen it. Can you imagine? Being able to see the ship in all its glory, and then watching its destruction. I can't even fathom the experience. But then again i don't think many people can. or want to if they could. But the exhibit was pretty cool. I wish the stupid gift shops weren't so ridiculously expensive though O_o
So we wandered around the museum for a while. I saw a fat looking shark in one of the exhibits that held a rather striking resemblence to Helena. Also went to the butterfly exhibit! The butterflies are so pretty! i love being able to hold them and watch them fly around. There was one i picked up that was brown on the outside of his wings (when they were closed together) and blue when they were spread! It was so pretty! And Johnny was so cute XP johnny and the butterflies haha!
We also went to the mayfair mall afterwards. wandered around. it was fun though, Johnny was a good sport about it (since it was mainly me trying to shop for birthday presents for emily and lacey) Lacey likes all the really girly stores like wet seal and Forever 21, stores that are definetly not for guys. So it amazed me when he didn't complain, at all, and actually gave some input on stuff i suggested getting. i didn't end up finding anything though for her, i mean, i did and i didn't. The stuff i know she'd love was outta my price range since my hours at work have been lagging. actually, this reminds me that she has now got a new bf. interesting. But hopefully it all works out for her. Johnny could barely believe it when i told him, i had to show him the txt. I think he finally understands why i freaked out that saturday night and that i wasn't overreacting. Thank you johnny. We went and bought some Little Tokyo to eat. mmmm. i LOVE Little Tokyo, it is AMAZING.
Finally started heading home around 6:30 or so. That is, until a cheap bookstore caught Johnny's eye. A cheap bookstore that happened to be next to Animal Crackers pet store. Genius. I couldn't resist taking Johnny in. Omg i want a macaw in the worst way. They are the coolest birds (next to Oscar haha!) It was so cute!!!! they were talking, saying hi and such, the guy saw us looking at them and took them out of their cages onto the perches! Aww! i wanted to touch them so bad! But the fact that their beak was twice the size of my little man's prevented me from doing so. One of the macaws were placed on a perch that was right in front of Johnny. That macaw started flapping his wings looking like he was going to take off. Johnny looked like he was gonna shit himself. it was hilarious! he kept looking at me and looking back at the bird. i just stood there and watched. Oscar does the same thing, flapping his wings wildly in one spot. I don't know why. Same strange bird habits tho, so i knew he wasn't going anywhere. Good times. hehee. Now that i think about it, it would have been epic if the bird did take off at Johnny. I'm not even sure i could handle it. the epic-ness! OMG!
So yes, it was an amazing day, and back to work tomorrow. FUN. At least John will be there! The top shelves will be zoned! Sweet.
