First, let me preface this with the low expectations I went in with. This is, after all, a Michael Bay film.
Plot: Very thin. Like mono-filament thin. When I say "mono-filament", I really mean only a couple of molecules wide. Disappointed? No.
Character Development: No, not really. Again, to be expected from the man that brought us "Armageddon" and "Pearl Harbor". And yes, there is an "Armageddon" joke in the movie that I about bust a gut over.
Giant Robots Beating The Snot Out Each Other: Delivered. In spades. Really, the "starring" line should not read anything other than "Starring ILM as Big Honking Robots" because that is where the action is in this flick.
The Girly Girl went with the Boy and I to see this and, like the geek she is, loved all of the robotic goodness presented on the screen. Her favorite was Bumblebee with the "Bee-otch" air freshener hanging from the review mirror.
Yes, very entertaining. Just don't go looking for any plot.
