(no subject)
So! It's certainly been an eventful past few weeks, and not even in the "run for your life" sense. Always a nice change, that. Let's see, in recent memory I've:
* Gotten Otis a puppy.
- Which, admittedly, turned out to be slightly problematic as I didn't check with Raluna and Loire first, and Raluna is sorta against the messes puppies ultimately end up making.
* Gotten a job!
- Which is, actually, a byproduct of the puppy thing. I was shopping for an "I'm Sorry I Got Your Roommate a Puppy Without Running It By You First" gift for Raluna (with Loire), and I happened to go into this ... unique little bookstore -- it specializes in books on cats. As it turned out they didn't really have anything in stock I thought 'Luna would like, but the owner, this guy - who happens to have a cat animagus - named Tom, was really nice, and when I went back to look around for myself a few days letter, he offered me a job! So, that's cool. Steady cash flow and all that jazz. I do need one, actually; I need to build up my ... net worth, I guess, before I turn 17. 'Cause that's when the ministry'll stop supporting me, 'cause being a "legal adult" and all I have to, you know, fend for myself and stuff. Might as well start now, no?
... This does bring up the question of what the hell I'm going to do once I leave Hogwarts, but, meh, who wants to think about that? Not I!
* Been to Georgia! (The state in the US, not the country that used to be a part of Russia...)
- Granted I didn't realize this fact until, like, the day after wards, but still! It was very pretty, and warm! Or, well, at least the part I saw was. I suppose I should mention that I also visited my first farm while I was there, but I dunno, that somehow seems less deserving of it's own bullet point.
* Got to know the infamous Richy McGowan
- This probably shouldn't be mentioned so much, given how ... not so popular a guy he is. He didn't seem *that* bad to me, though.
