Oh man, i'm pretty bad at this journal shit.
Everyday something happens that I tell myself I need to write about
and every night i say i'm too tired, lazy, busy and i'll do it the next day...but i never do.
Well, i guess today is yesterdays next day, so i'm finally keeping my word.
Lets start where i last left off
The best way to describe my actual birthday is lacking. It wasn't bad by any means, it just didn't feel very special.
I spent it at the spot (which is a joke in itself because 2 years ago you couldn't pay me enough to go there, and here I am ringing in my 20th birthday there).
I got to spend it with Nicole<3, which was nice, and her cousin is super cute and got the people to bring me cake and sing happy birthday, which was supa nice! Jonnyjoon was the first to call, and he did it while on vacation, so that made me smile too. And Yuki stopped by so i got to see my bff's at least. The day of my birfday was spent at camp, but that was lacking too because Jenny and Devon weren't there and part of what sticks out in my head about last years birfday was being suprised at Jonny Rocket's by Lauren, Jenny & Devon. I was missing my girls!!!
Devon called me the morning of and left me this funny message where she yelled "happy birthday" over and over and I listened to it on the elevator in my mom's apartment. When I got off the lady that was in the elevator with me gave me an awkward smile and said "happy birthday?" It was kinda of fantastic.
Anyway, at camp we did the usual have the campers sing to the birfday person, which is always cute, and some of my campers made me cards, which was also super cute, but still it didn't stick. My first summer with Arthur my campers LOVED me, it was soo weird, they were only 1 unit older then the unit i have now, but they all seemed to get that it was my birthday and that they should constantly do cute things for me because of it...not in a they had to because i expected them to way, but in a they really liked me so they wanted to way. Whateva heffa, i don't know what im rambling on about anymore.
After camp I went to Lauren's house and chilled with her for a bit, then Shabbat, and then my birfday was over.
Ahhh but that saturday was AMAZING!!!!!!!!
Ashley took me to see Daft Punk in concert and it was WOW! that's really the only way to describe it.
From us going to KFC before and pigging out. To Candy and whatever her face was (these two hoe ass girls in front of us on the way in that were soooooo out of place in their heels and silver mini skirts, who we later found out had names like candy when the two guys they were hoeing it up with started make jokes at their expense--which they didnt get of course), to going right before the show was starting and still having and amazinggggggg view, to the strange yet fabulous people that were around us (robot men, and nice guys cracking jokes and dancing) to the random guy asking Ash for e, to DJ's that freakin rocked and me being able to dance with my favorite concert buddy, to that other band that opened who was amazing and Ashley loves but i can't remember their name right now, to how skilled ash's brother is at finding people in a crowd, to Daft Punk's actual performance which changed my whole perspective on a lot of things like: it should totally be socially acceptable for girls to take off their shirts during concerts (because ash and I totally did and it was one of the best decisions i've ever made at a show), and I can totally see why people go to raves because jumping up and down to robotic, electronic music with bright flashing lights and sweating people all around you is an indescribable feeling; a mix of freedom and connectedness and just a rush! I also love that 3 random guys started dancing with us, and assumed that just because we were shirtless--and they were too-- that meant that they could rub up against us and we wouldnt mind...oh silly boys! But at least they were cute...and possibly gay LOL It was all amazing nonetheless!
Okay, I don't remember what happened the following days so i'm going to stop for now and hopefully i'll pick up where i left off very soon!
