Tonight I watched Charms for the Easy Life. It is a story about a Mrs Charlie Kate Birch, the town healer and a matriarch. It centers around her interactions with her daughter, granddaughter and thriving medical practice. The bulk of the story takes place right before and during WWII. It looks like it will be a slow movie, but I found it enjoyable, even without the customary car explosions or tragic plot turns. If I were you, I would make a point of renting this film. It stars the same woman who played Allie Calhoun in The Notebook.
