Sarah was walking along the street, just...wandering, really. She didn't have much of any place to go (other than home, but you can only spend your night doing the same things all the time so many times before something else was more interesting), so her feet take her where they please. If that happened to be by the apartments, then so be it.
Though today there was an interesting change on one of the ground-floor porches. "Ed? That you?" ...y'know, that probably wouldn't make much sense without automatic assumptions. Sarah's thoughts aside, she walks onto the property and across to the raised porch itself. "Something up?"
((...unless this was supposed to be establishy. @_@; Then I can bah-lete or whatever.))
Sarah huffs and starts to climb up over the porch railing. "Well, you're moping, for one." Tsuri swoops down from where she'd been gliding around, taking a perch on Ed's shoulder and chirping.
"Right, you're just staring off into the distance like something big's on your mind just for the fun of it." Sarah grunts and manages to worm herself over the railing, but overbalances and tumbles over with a yelp. "Ow!"
She snorts. "I'm sure you know of that. Work's been...well, work. A lot of the time I wish I could just lock the little kiddies up in a closet and be done with it." Sarah heaves a long-suffering sigh, grinning a bit.
He wraps his arm around her shoulders, resting his head against hers, but still doesn't say anything, and the look in his eyes suggests he's a thousand miles away.
