step one, complete
today we met with our new landlord and went over the terms of our lease. starting feb 1st, 2008 we can being construction. i am pretty pumped... if we can get everything done in one month, our estimated time frame, march 1st we will be open. hooray.
all of my chicago-area friends (and those with jetsetting inclinations), consider yourself invited to the opening, we are at 1425 w 18th st in pilsen! shit, come help us paint and build stuff, we'll pay you in booze, pizza, and rad clothes.
for some reason i feel like i am taking a step back into my adolescent years... maybe it is the whole no more office job which i definitely equated with being adult when i was growing up. maybe it is the fact that i can thrift shop for a living (who the fuck gets to do that?!)... whatever it is it should be good.
i can't wait for my huge checks from work, then the construction can really start.
