...

One of my fish died today. It was the little red one named Eiji. I know that life and death happens, but he was my favorite. He was always full of energy and fun to watch and sometimes he'd follow my finger. But now he's gone.

He was one fish that would be impossible to replace.

Sometime soon. Maybe tomorrow. Can you come?

Of course, nya, but maybe you should tell me what time now because I.. have a thing. But I can do that whenever, as long as it's tomorrow.

What thing? It would probably just be whenever you could come. But you don't have to come if you'll be too busy.

I'm not too busy!! It's not an extremely important thing, nya, I can do it another day if I need to.

This wouldn't take the whole day! He'd just say some kind words and flush hijm down the toilet.

YOU CAN'T FLUSH SUCH A SPECIAL FRIEND. HE MUST BE BURIED IN A POLISHED WOODEN MATCHBOX IN THE BACK GARDEN WITH A FULL RECITATION OF THE LAST RITES.

I know. But my mom said she doesn't want any more fish buried in the backyard. After the first half dozen she said she didn't want the backyard to turn into a graveyard. Which makes sense. Anyway, to get to fish heaven I think they have to go down the toilet.

ARE YOU SURE, BECAUSE WE COULD USE MY BACKYARD IF YOU WANT.

We could. A burial would be nice for this fish because it was special. But then he might not get to fish heaven.

Hmmm... we could flush him and then bury his favorite rock or make a memorial plaque or something?

I like that idea. And I'm sure my mom won't object.
