Time to say hello,
i think its been time enough to have something new to say.
I am in georgia, 30 minutes north of jacksonville. I am assigned to the USS Florida, SSGN 728. look it up if you want, its the latest and greatest in state of the art warfare. Warheads on Foreheads, right? i guess so... For anyone who forgot, I am an ET (Electronics Technition) petty officer 3rd class in the United States Navy. On top of that I'm a Nuke, which means the navy put me through 3 different schools for about a year and a half before I got where i am today. Its worth something like 80 credits, so basicly with the slacker credits i got at western in 02-03 and OCC 02-04, i just about earned a bachelors in engineering or somesuchshit. we will see. I am commited untill july, 2010. that is so far, i might re-enlist for $60k bonus and add 2 years onto that. of course, in the civilian world i could make double that in a few years... so it depends. on what, you ask presuptiously? well, if i'm married, if i have kids... yeah, im thinking about getting married these days. i just bought a new car, looking at buying a house, gonna get this short, cute, y lady named mandi to be my wife... im going domestic it seems. i love the freedoms bachelor life brings, but if anyone knows me they know i being alone, im insecure that way. i like having people accept me for me, and usualy they are people that i know, that know me, have invested time in getting to know... and if you know me you know i surround myself with good people, grade-A sticks. but anyway... the navy offers real good insurance and benifits. like half my income right now is tax free. well, a third is tax free. i'm only making around 30k a year right now, which isnt too bad i guess. with benifits and insurance, i guess its around 45k, if uncle sam is feeling generous. about what i was making at Wholefoods, cept there are less ladies (i work on a sub, all guys! shiiiit) but it keeps me out of trouble. for the pask 2 years i have only directly worked with 3 females. one got married to one of my roomates, another was pregnant, and the otherone kinda flipped out and ran away (from the navy, not me). so ywah... not much else to say, its hot outside... i miss my old life but times, they change. see you all on the flip side.
