Final update on the Sam's Club incident

So, I had to go to the post office to pick up my certified letter that contained the gift card from Sam's Club. I knew that my email would find it's way back to the jerk who I dealt with in the first place, but I fully expected that the people who would be taking care of the situation would be the corporate people. Apparently not. After they emailed me last week, they must have forwarded everything on to the manager Keith that I had dealt with in the beginning. From there, I guess HE had to send me a personal letter of apology along with the gift card. The letter said:

"I would like to apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused you. Please accept this $50 gift card. I appreciate your business and look forward to providing you with excellent service in the future.

Sincerely,
Keith Whited
Photo Manager
Sam's Club

Obviously the letter is mostly cookie cutter, but I'll take what I can get. At least he's allowing me back in his photo lab again... lol. Not that I want to or anything. He was able to get one last little jab in... the gift card he sent me said "Achievement Great Job!" On it... As in "You got what you wanted, congratulations." I actually laughed insanely at that. Although, it did irk me just a little, because I know he meant it in a condescending way. Man, I read into people a bit too much... but 9 times out of 10, I am right. I have the gift of reading people.

So yeah, with the $50, we bought 20 pounds of meat for the freezer. Hurrah! Good to stock up. Already packaged and frozen. YAY! 10 pounds ground beef, 6 1/2 pounds pork chops and 3 1/2 pounds steak. Free food to feed the family for 20 meals plus leftovers. Who could ask for more than that? You know, truly, I wasn't expecting any compensation at all. I just wanted my complaint to go down in the books and get back to that guy so he would know he got in trouble. He had no right to treat me the way he did, especially knowing what I know of their policies and procedures. All I can say is that I rule!
