Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities:
Touma was born with the mysterious and logic defying ability known as Imagine Breaker. This ability allows Touma to negate all supernatural powers which include the effects of magical, psychic, and divine powers with physical contact of his right hand. Because of the passive nature of his ability, he is labeled as a “Level 0 Esper” for political purposes. Imagine Breaker can't be detected nor properly measured.
Although only his right hand can actively negate supernatural powers there are some exceptions. Anything supernatural that affects his body as a whole will be completely negated. This makes abilities such as teleportation ineffective on him. Touma has also shown immunity to telepathy despite it being an ability primarily focusing on the brain.
Not everything can be immediately dispelled by Imagine Breaker. If the supernatural force is sufficiently massive enough, it will take a few extra seconds before it's completely destroyed. More troublesome however are supernatural forces that can constantly regenerate. The only way to permanently negate a regenerative supernatural force is to destroy its source. Touma can fortunately counteract his disadvantage against sufficiently massive and/or regenerative supernatural forces by disrupting it. During its state of cancellation he can physically interact with it allowing him the ability to redirect it elsewhere. The strangest and rarest are supernatural forces that can only be dispelled within a very limited time frame. After that time limit has been passed that supernatural force is considered a natural phenomenon.
Supernatural forces aren't the only things Imagine Breaker can affect. Humans with supernatural powers can be nullified upon physical contact with his right hand. Their powers will return the moment he releases them. Supernatural beings respond differently to Imagine Breaker ranging from eradication, death, or banishment depending on what they are and feel subconsciously afraid of him. Supernatural constructs when touched lose their power and subsequently fall apart.
Imagine Breaker isn't the only ability Touma possesses. Because of the numerous fights he has participated in, he has subconsciously developed partial precognition. This allows him to gauge the severity of an attack and move Imagine Breaker into the best position to minimize damage. This only applies to supernatural attacks or supernaturally enhanced beings.
Touma possess an inhuman amount of stamina as he is able to endure numerous attacks that would render a normal human incapacitated. This is coupled with an extraordinarily high pain threshold. His street fighting skills can quickly submit opponents who are unfamiliar with physical combat. Individuals who excel in physical combat can overwhelm him.
Special Note:
Imagine Breaker is not just simply an ability that negates the supernatural. There are still unknowns on how it works and what exactly it is. I will create a permission post for Imagine Breaker to determine how another player's supernatural character and/or item would respond to Imagine Breaker.
Additional Note:
Imagine Breaker acts as a seal to an unknown entity or power. This "Invisible Thing" was able to terrify and overpower Fiamma of the Right, a magician that had briefly attained the position "La persona superiore a Dio" (The person superior to God), after he cut off Touma's right arm and used Imagine Breaker as a purification tool for his Holy Right. Touma himself was able to suppress that power and regrow his right arm. He regained Imagine Breaker while the one Fiamma disassembled into his body disappeared as only one could exist within the same world and its true power can only be wielded by Touma. Very little has been revealed about the "Invisible Thing" or its capabilities.
Index speculates that Imagine Breaker is the reason for his misfortune. Before he was sent to Academy City, Touma's misfortune wasn't just limited to himself. At a young age he was called "The God of Plague" and was ridiculed for how he seemed to bring misfortune to others. Sometime between him entering Academy City and when the series started this was limited to only himself. This may have something to do with the "Invisible Thing" sealed inside him.

Character Personality:
At his very core, Touma is a kind, self-sacrificing individual who follows what he considers is righteous. This aspect of his nature remained true even when the entirety of his memories were destroyed. His heroic nature isn’t derived from any outside preconceived notions of morality. He freely assists any that require help whether they are a stranger or a former enemy even if they refuse. To him “Enemy” is just a situational position thus feeling no need to bear a grudge. The titles of “Hero” and “Villain” have no meaning to him. He believes what matters most is the very act of reaching out to help others even against impossible odds.
The only thing that surpasses his desire to help is his tremendous determination. Once committed to a task he will see it through regardless of the obstacles before him. This martyr like behavior usually results in him getting hospitalized and sometimes chastised for being such a reckless fool. His heroic and benevolent nature has on multiple occasions inspired others. Most noticeable is Accelerator who tried to reformed himself after encountering Touma even going as far mimicking his fighting style and regarding him as the ideal hero he wanted to become.
An idealist when concerning the hopes of other people he's ironically cynical about himself. This is more prominent before his memory loss especially when concerning Imagine Breaker. He thought of it as a useless ability due to how worthless it was in most situations and how it creates misfortune within his life. His constant misfortune combined with the stigma of being classified as a Level 0, a powerless person, contributed to his self-dispraising attitude. It was only until he freed Index from the need to have her memories wiped did he come to appreciate Imagine Breaker. This realization stayed even after his memory wipe. Although he still complains about his misfortune, he doesn't mind it so long as he can help others that are suffering.
Touma has shown surprising intelligence. He possesses an excellent grasp on physics as demonstrated when he steered the descending Star of Bethlehem into Archangel Gabriel. In battle, he has an uncanny ability to analyze the weaknesses and limitations of his opponents’ abilities. When Imagine Breaker fails or becomes useless for the current situation, he will use a more pragmatic approach to solve his problem. He has been shown to be cautious when he feels the need. After his memory loss, he manged to successfully deceive almost everybody about his memory loss so he won't potentially be taken advantage of.
He has a tendency to reference things using video game or anime tropes. Terms from dating sims like "unlocking routes" and "events" are used to jokingly poke fun at how he seems to repeatedly get involved in improbable situations with women. Role playing tropes are used when he's trying to understand overly complicated magical and supernatural explanations. As genre savvy as he is, he considers certain tropes to be impossible to happen in real life such as Tsunderes despite personally knowing two people that display this behavior.
His ignorance of the feelings of young maiden hearts is astounding. He has an entire legion of lovestruck girls that he somehow miraculously remains unaware of their feelings. Part of his ignorance comes from his disbelieve that any girl would fall for him. Personal preference also comes into play as he ferociously claims he likes Onee-san (elder sister) types and not flat-chested lolis. His amazing ability to misinterpret why his female friends behave strangely around him and his blunt, poorly chosen words tend to lend to misunderstandings.

Not only would Touma not feel comfortable with just accepting either company's actions, but he will actively oppose them regardless of the consequences. I hoping by that point he would have a sizable harem unofficial group of people to support him. His faction will be created from his selflessness and the desire for a third option.

Hello? Could anyone explain to me how I ended up in this strange place? Is this a heaven where protagonists go after suffering a Bad End? I need to find a way out. There are people out there that this Kamijou Touma need to apologize to after being so reckless and needlessly worrying them. If anyone knows a way out I'll be in your debt.
[He released a short sneeze and began to shiver a bit.]
Ah. A towel would be nice too. I was dropped into the Arctic before I mysteriously found myself here.
[The video then shifted to reveal his drenched clothing. He was wearing clothes best suited for freezing temperatures. His right sleeve was missing with evidence that had been forcefully ripped off. Aside from the loss of color, his right arm looked uninjured. His shivering and poor condition was far more noticeable now. It was clear that he needed more help than just a towel.]

Slumping down the road was a depressed looking teenager. The boy practically oozed a visible aura of miasma that keep others from wanting to be near him. Its only been a week since he has arrived and already he has fallen into such a pitiful sight. From what he heard returning back to his home at this moment was an outright impossibility. Not just for him but everybody in this city. All the people that he needs to apologize to will have to wait. Besides even if he could freely return home, he couldn't do it knowing others will be trapped here against their will. What kind of man would he be if he did that?
Breathing a heavy sigh Touma looked down at his right hand. The source of the problem was a strange device called the Core. Nobody seems to know exactly what the Core is, but one rumor predicted it was an ancient magical item. He was thinking that perhaps his right hand may be of use. Surely even a powerful device such as that would crumble if it turned out to be supernatural. However there was just as much as a chance of it being some highly advanced piece of technology. It did manage to bring him here with little difficulty. With his only trump card rendered useless, how would he proceed from there?
He lightly tapped his head to rid himself of all the negative thoughts plaguing his mind. He shouldn't allow such things to get him down. Even if Imagine Breaker proved useless, he would find another way to solve this problem. There are other here who possess strange talents that could potentially find ways to solve. The path to victory isn't just one single road. He will do his best so there can be an ending where everybody is happy.
Filled with new resolve he began to noticeable perk up as he continued to his destination. He was on his way to take advantage of a special deal at a local food market. Even when whisked away to another dimension, Touma was still a poor high school student. Only with careful managing of his finances can he expect to last the next few weeks. He should be fine so long as he doesn't run into any misfortune.
