Spread Legs and Promises

I've climbed up mountains and decided I needed to get higher
I've drifted asleep just to find myself dreaming about being awake again
I've tripped and fallen in between spread legs and promises I made myself
I've forewarned others, even my brothers,
but they still touch the stove
from time to time
