hey quick question, shizuru's plan is to slowly back away, romantically that is, from Natsuki, and my plan is to perhaps have her start getting interested in someone else, you know, the classic "make her jealous" scheme, though i think Shizuru really needs the romantic interest to feel a little better about herself

I'm actually not sure how Akiko would react to a 'my' attached to her name. I think she'd be confused. I mean '-chan' is usually used as an endearment, but also often for little children. That's why Akiko got upset; she doesn't want to be seen as a child. Biggest problem is that Akiko doesn't have any understanding of love and relationships and stuff like that. XD She's got the mind of a young child.
I must say I'd be interested in something like sympathy from Shizuru... Laurian will never have any interest in anyone else but Rei, but imagine how jealous Rei will be when Laurian opens up a little to Shizuru and not to her. XD Because I think it'd be easier for her to open up her problems to someone she hardly knows. XD
I can, if you want, bring back Soulfire and Dayenne from their comatose NPC mode. I don't think either of those will ever return any feelings for Shizuru, but as I understand it, it's more to make Natsuki jealous, right? ;)
Otherwise... I only have Ralph to offer to you. She's free, though as I said, not actively looking. I think after an engagement that got broken by her fiance and a girlfriend who left her to go back to Oz... she doesn't feel any need for a romantic partner. Still, she likes flirting and dating... ;)
Well, admittedly I also have Yser/Ysra, but they are only interested in sex. Oo
