HD Career Fair 2009 Fest : Fic Recs
This is about the time I start buying inappropriate Xmas presents for friends, family and flat mates (oh hey, the Twilight dildo is back in stock) and wishing people a "Merry Christmas". This also marks the beggining of what I call H/D Fest Season. Yes, there are fests over the course of the year, thank the heavens, but who can blame me?. There's hd_holidays , bottom_draco , hd_fanart , hp_darkfest and the reveals just went up at hd_career_fair . Dude, bring out the eggnog >:).
Now, hd_career_fair . After years in the "fandom" I'm still clueless as to how all these wonderful ladies manage to create masterpieces from possibly-insane (in a good way, sometimes) prompts within a limited time frame then send them over to hard-working Goblins called "Betas" then forward them to Magnificent Creatures called "Mods" who proceed to post them in an organized way and-- Oh Shi-- longest sentence ever, grammar nazis spare me.
I have to admit I haven't read all of them fics but I will at some point, and everybody should too. This list is in no way complete or supposed to be a reliable source of information. What I like might not, surprisingly, be what you like so please proceed with caution.
So here's some of my favorites so far in no particular order. I'm sorry there's no cut but I'm LJ-retarded and the cut kept eating "The Boy Who Baked" for some reason. Enjoy ;).

Summary: When the Wizard Entertainer, the equivalent to a Muggle stripper, shows up to perform at Harry's bachelor party, he gets the shock of his life. Based on one of my prompts for the career fest. Thanks

Summary: When this season’s purple courgettes are woefully thin, Draco Malfoy thinks it amounts to small beans. Next thing he knows, the Department of Standards is over-run with leeks, Brussels sprouts all sorts of legislative difficulties, and somebody appears to have put a roquette under Harry Potter. Can Draco seize a marrow victory? Or will his plans for peas be squashed?
