The following days, Inoo and Hikaru managed to get along after that day.
After Biology, Takaki and Yabu saw them happily chatting with each other. It’s definite that Hikaru’s smile today is totally different than the smiles and smugs
he gives that kills the girls along the hallway.
Yabu walked very close to them, not minding the light talk Hikaru and Inoo are having. When the two paused for a quick laugh, he inserted his hand in
between them and said, “Look, Hikaru's having fun with KEI,” emphasizing the first name of the new student.
After some minute Hikaru realized what he’s doing, and began to think that hanging out with a new guy might ruin his reputation. He looked down, not
continuing his discussion with Inoo, and quickly walked through the corridor. Yabu simply smiled to Inoo and followed Hikaru.
Looking back at the girl-like boy, Hikaru felt some regret inside him for leaving Inoo like that.

After what happened yesterday, Hikaru tried his best to distance himself from the new guy. He might be angry at me, he thought. While scribbling things on
the back of his notebook, he heard giggles from the group of girls next to him.
Of course he’s used to girls huddle close to him then giggle on something not really funny, or he can’t understand it because it’s girls who are talking, not
Hikaru Yaotome.
“Hihihihi~”
“Come on Asuka-chan, go talk to him.” he heard some of the girls whisper to this Asuka-chan.
He pretended that he didn’t hear anything, and continued scribbling, forming a big ball with loops inside it, or something like that. He felt the groups of girls
began to walk separately, while his classmate, Asuka-chan stayed very close to his desk. As she turned to him, he stopped drawing and lifted his head to
look at her.
Woah, it’s like a long time since he saw Asuka-chan. Is that really her? She looked beautiful with those long locks and the bangs that covered her eyes. But
as he observes her, a picture of Inoo Kei began to cloud his mind. His frustrated look the first time he saw him, taking a seat behind him. The smile he wore
when he told him to call him on his first name. The same smile he has yesterday, until Yabu interrupted their happiness.
“Anou, Yaotome-kun?”
“Ah. Yes?”
He was just listening to the girl’s math problem, until his thoughts were stopped when he saw Inoo outside the door. He was looking at him, no, the both of
them, with a furious look. He nodded to Asuka-chan’s every sentence, but he continued to stare at those eyes. Why were they full of sadness?

The following day, the chair that Inoo sits in is empty.
Hikaru thought that it has to be a connection with what happened with Asuka-chan.
Later that day, he decided to visit his new friend.
Daiki held his shoulders when he went off on his own, “Oi, where are you going?”
He answered without thinking that he WILL be teased again, “To In- Kei’s house. I just want to know why he’s absent today.”
Takaki began to grin and punched his side, “Ooohh~ Hikka-chan’s going to Inoo-chan’s house!”
Of course he felt a bit embarrassed again, but this time he stood firm. He waved goodbye and went straight to Inoo’s house, not noticing his friend’s teasing
on him and Inoo again. When will they stop this?
