He talked about himself. “My name is Daris… I’m 28 years old living in a big cold mansion. I don’t car for my house… I’m a business man that never has time for anything… That’s why she and I never got along.” I guessed her was talking about Mrs. Anderson…
“I was always busy and she just wanted to spend family time together… How I regret everything… There is no way I could make it up to her…”
The next thing I saw were tears coming down his face! Mrs. Anderson’s son was crying… I couldn’t help but get up and hug him. I whispered comforting words as he just stood there regretting the past.
While I was holding him I saw cloud lying next to the swing I was on… The next thing he did was attack Daris’s shoe! He started scratching it. I didn’t have time to stop Cloud because my wings appeared!
I started to panic because I didn’t want Daris to see them. How do you hide wings that are twice the size of your body? My whole body started to glow.
Daris just stood there looking at me. He looked amazed! I was confused because I thought he would be shocked! I just wanted to fly away and hide… Why did my wings come back all of a sudden? Did this mean I was allowed back into heaven? I backed away slowly from him, hoping to escape by flying. My wings seemed very weak because the son had gone down.
I ran away from Daris as fast as I could. I didn’t stop to think about Cloud or how he had gotten to the park. A cat couldn’t possibly make my wings appear… Right? I ran with all my might hoping to get away from the scene I must have caused Daris.
As I ran, my feet led me back to Mrs. Anderson’s house… As I ran up the steps I tripped and fell… My wings spread out and feathers fell… I wanted to cry! God what was happening to me? Then I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Daris’s smile looking down on me… He didn’t look scared or shocked… He was smiling genteelly hoping to comfort me!
He whispered to me… “so she spent the last of her days with a beautiful angel… I always knew God liked her… All she did was pray to him and wish for others well being… My mother…”
He must have known how scared I was because he hugged me and told me that he would never do anything to hurt me. “Stay with me little one and I will always protect you.”
From that moment on I knew I could. I don’t know why but for the very fist time I was able to trust someone with all my heart and not with my ability to tell the difference between good and evil. I didn’t want to read his aura…
He got up and let me his hand. My black dress was ripped badly because of the pressure from my wings. He lent me his suit jacket as we walked. I didn’t even know where we were going and for just that moment I didn’t care…
We were walking for about ten minutes when he reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone. He called his driver. He asked his driver to bring him a car to drive. Five minutes later two fancy/expensive looking cars showed up. Daris had me hide behind a tree while he took the keys from his driver. His driver got into the other car and they sped away.
Daris got into the drivers seat and looked at me as though trying to figure out what to do next. “Can you fly in those wings or do you want to ride with me?” I tried flying but I didn’t have enough energy. I tried my best to make my wings disappear but even that didn’t work. I got into the passenger’s seat trying not to look at Daris’s face… I really wondered what he was thinking but felt it wasn’t my place to barge my way into his mind…
He drove me to his house. While in the car I looked down and saw Cloud sleeping soundlessly next to my feet. What was he doing there? How did he get there?
Daris must have seen me look at Cloud because he said, “you have a very good protector… except he does not know the difference between your friends and foes…”
I prayed and prayed in my heart… My poor heart… My aching and hurt heart… was the reappearance of my wings a sign that I was accepted back into heaven? Was I forgiven of my sin? How did cloud find me? So many thoughts ran through my mind and I was too tired of them…But no matter how much I thought I wasn’t scared… There was no fear in my heart… just worries of the coming days…
I must have fallen asleep in the car because the next thing I remember was waking up in a huge room filled with many shiny windows. The sun was high in the sky and I could hear the birds chirping. I got out of the massive bed I was on to figure out where I was. As I got out of bed I almost stepped on Cloud’s tail! The poor cat was sound asleep in a small basket next to the bed. I carried him in my arms and walked out of that room.
Cloud had a cute little red ribbon around his neck as smelled nice too.
