Over too soon...

Tonight I went to see the noodles. It was such a treat to see the pillows performed. I just wanted to write about what I saw before I forget tomorrow morning after I wake up.

We got to the club about half a hour early and scored on parking! On the website, it said parking was free but when we got there, the attendant asked us if we were going to King King. "Yes, we are!" "That will be $5," he says. WTF! So instead of fussing, we paid it. Then we waited in the line for about 20 minutes until the doors opened. When we got closer toward the front, the manager goes, "Presales line up here." Very short line and we didn't wait for more than 5 minutes. Once we were inside, I headed straight for the goods.

OMG! $10 a CD. That beats the Benten website prices at $20 for some of them! I brought a franklin with me and used it all up. T__T Summary of what I got: 3 noodles cds (including IVY), 1 noodles DVD, 1 noodles tee, 2 the pillows shirt, 2 TsuShiMaMiRe cds, 1 bu*li cd, and 1 titan go king cd.

After that, I went to search for the people that I came with. They were sitting at the bar. The back one which is furthest away from the stage. Now, this will be the only thing that I am going to complain about. One of the people I went with can take the fun out of things. Come on! We're at a live show... At least sit closer to the stage. >_< Okay, after fuming for a minute, the pillows played first!

Sawao, the lead singer, is sooo energetic but then so is the rest of the band. They sang about 5 songs. I knew two of the songs, Ride on shooting star and Little Busters. I think the other songs were from their new album. I wanted to get it but I'd rather get the other cds. I love how he jumped into it. Literally. He jumped and did that guitar swing thing. I thought the mic was gonna fall. He spoke to the crowd, "I like crazy dance. Everybody crazy dance!" Pretty funny but cool! He just wanted the crowd to be more energetic.

The next band was The Emeralds. Just loud! I think I started to zone out while they were playing! I just remember they were holding up a sign, "The Emeralds." I also went to use the girl's room too...

After they played, it was a group called Pink Mochi who are from L.A. Their music was mostly synth sounds with rock in it. I think they would have been great if I could hear her singing. I think something was wrong with the mic or something but they didn't try to attempt to fix it or something... They kind of reminded me of Asobi Seksu.

Puppypet was up after Pink Mochi. They are very punk rock and cute! I also have to mention that the people who were selling the products were the band members. I didn't know that until they performed. The two singers are twins. One mainly plays this piano-sax thing. I don't know what that is called while the sister just sang. I really like them and wanted to get a CD but they were sold out. SO FAST! =<

Rolling along, Titan Go Kings were next. I am impressed. They totally got into it and they were so cute with their beanies on. I wished I could have taken pics but I thought we couldn't bring cameras and all I had with me was my cell phone cam and that doesn't take good pictures in the dark and no zoom since I was way in the back standing on my stool. Anyways, I think it's hard being a trio band (electric guitar, bass, and drums) but they were really punk rocky! They bounced along the stage. One of the songs they sang was Aiko Aiko Ai Ne cover. Towards the end of their performance, the lead singer was so into it that her beanie just flew off her head. They wanted us to do a YMCA thing except it would be to the tune of T-I-T-A-N. It would have worked but I think people didn't want to wack the people standing to them in the head....

The night just seems to get better and better with TsuShiMaMiRe. Another trio and they rocked it harder than the Titan-Go-Kings. The lead singer on electric guitar played it like it was a shimasen. They were awesome! Through out their whole performance, they were all smiling! The bass guitarist was soo good! She drove the crowd wild. After they were done with their 5 songs, their hair was all puffy from shaking their head so hard. Hahaha!

Yoko speaking into the mic.

Ikuno getting ready.

The band in action. Ayumi, on drums, playing barefoot.

Once they were done, my friend and I shoved our way to the front of the stage to see the noodles~! Omg! Ayumi is sooo pretty up close. Yoko and Ikuno too! But I was more surprised with Ayumi. She did most of the talking since her english was better which was kinda weird since Yoko, the lead singer, writes most of the lyrics on the album. These were the songs the noodles played: Blush Timpany (from Ivy), Ivy (from Ivy), Fuzzy Hill (from Fuzzy Hill), She, her (my favorite noodle song!), and Bound Lily (from Ivy) respectively. I think they sang another song to make up for one of their amplifiers that went out of sync. I couldn't really hear Yoko sing. I think something was wrong with her mic. Anyways, during their break between songs, Ayumi took off her shirt and told us all to, "Go buy [our] T-shirts and CDs." Pretty funny! She kept looking at my friend and I while she was saying that. Since I was sooo close, I noticed Yoko's clothes. She was wearing an avocado T that said "Life" on it, some tight pair of jeans with a white french kitty patch on the back left pocket, pair of old school vans shoes with floral design in blank ink on it, a nice rolex watch, and a french kitty charm bracelet! I also noticed that Ayumi played the drums in her bare feet! Ikuno looked bored like she always does but she was playing a Rickenbacker vintage bass guitar!! I was soo sad when they were done. T_T Yoko totally lipped the mic the whole time singing! XD

The closers were Petty Booka. They were dressed in western garb and played the ukuleles. Nothing great. We pretty much left during the middle of their performance. It seemed like the club was emptier after the noodles performed. Which sucks because I thought Petty Booka would be more popular than that. They did sing great together as a duo though!

After the concert, we went to Denny's since it was the only place still open. I just ate a two egg breakfast. Now I am home. :D I will post the pics I have later when I get access to the memory card reader for my cell's MC.
