Guess what?
I just adopted another kitten about the same age as Taiko. This time from OCARC (Orange County Animal Rescue Coalition). The pet counselor told me she's mine within a minute of holding her!! I was shocked and so happy!

She is a fluffy Siamese mix and is very mellow and gentle compared to Taiko. When I adopted her, they already named her Peaches. I am not sure if I will stick to that...It's like naming your cat Princess or something like that...which I think is probably worse than Peaches! Now I have to figure out a way to get them to love each other! It's better to have them as pairs when they are young and to keep each other company. I just hope Peaches doesn't hide which she seems to be doing but I think it's because she is in a new home and needs a little adjusting. She was placed in a foster home before being held up for adoption so she is very well-mannered compared to my little Taiko who I think has become one spoiled brat. Within minutes of sniffing each other, I heard hisses and saw the claws come out. Now she is in a separate room until they get used to each other's scent. I hope I have not become a crazy cat lady. XP
