A computer on my network just caught a virus. I am forced to download a pirated copy of Norton's AV....and I am also forced to sever all physical connections that computer held within the network.
But of course, one must cut-off an arm to save the body.....
I haven't gotten a virus in nearly 4 months now, because I have never been stupid enough to open executables disguised as a picture or a sound file. But this virus, well, it was different. It came from a friend on my aim list.....and it caught me completely off guard. I have a feeling the other persons computer is infected as well, and that (hopefully) she did not do it on purpose. If such a thing as application hijacking were true, then I must commend the creator of such a virus, for a script that preys on the unsuspecting friend on a simple program like aim is just pure brilliance. I must stop being so trustful....
It's alright 192.168.0.5, you will rejoin us soon.....
