had been busy for a couple of days.
On Wed night, my and my cousin's families got together for a Thanksgiving dinner because on THurs, my parents wanted to travel. It was a pleasant dinner. In order to prepare for it, on tues night, had to go on a grocery shopping after tutoring. The Turkey was good, and I loved the pumpkin pie (with whipping cream, of course :D) .
On THursday, I had to go with my parents. MOstly driving, not really getting off the car until the evening. We went to this mountain area and then to griffith park, and then another grocery shopping (no more rice). The lightings at the griffith park was nice, but I realized how much I miss New York.
Then on Friday, I went on a shopping, then to tutoring, and then to another grocery shopping (this was the third g shopping in this week). Had sushi for dinner, so that was nice. ehehheeh I bought two sweaters.
Today, I went to buy a pair of boots, but I couldn't decide. So I just ended up coming home. Will be deciding sometime. heheh My indecisiveness.....

So much homework for this weekend. THe doc gave me all the preliminary reports (CT, xray, and ultrasounds). He wants me to memorize all the anatomical terms in the reports so that starting next week I can write the dictated reports.... I'm just glad that I had physiology and comp anatomy and sports med... On the other hand, I can't find one of my books on anatomy... :(

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre,
whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs
you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LJ along with your
seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening
to. (because I think most of you have been tagged. *O*)

1.Love Bites- Kimeru
Have been listening to it over and over again... It's pretty scary that I even memorized the words without much attempt.... Part of the reason is that I set it as my alarm for every morning although I wake up usually 5-10minutes before the alarm goes off. I tend to stay in bed just to listen to the song.
~~~ cheating over here. adding Dream * Love -Kimeru
Happy jumpy song... This is also on the same cd as Love Bites, so yes... I also listen to this song every morning... See my obsession? heeheheh
2. Let's Call the Whole Thing Off - Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong
They are my favorite classic jazz singers. I like them singing together the most because Fitzgerald's smooth voice softens the edgy and rough qualities of Armstrong's voice. I like the lyrics in this one. It's such a fun and cute song to sing along.
3. Link - L'arc~en~Ciel
I just like this song. It's a bright song, and I like the lyric. Although it seems like it's sung for a loved one, but I tend to replace the image with my dear friends. (yes YOU hehehe)
4. Oratorio de Noel (Christmas Oratorio) - Saint-Saens
It's not grand like Messiah. On the other hand, it is flowy and lyrical. Didn't know much about it until I began to practice it on the choir for the upcoming Christmas concert. A very pretty oratorio, indeed.
5. Fugue - JS Bach.
Bach is my favorite composer of all times. I like Debussy, Chopin, Liszt, Beethoven, Mozart, and so on... Yes I love classical music.... But Bach tops them all for me in piano/harpsicord music pieces. I especially love his fugue pieces because of it's intricately intertwined and the developments and exposition of the sounds... You can find the math within it. (Some of you may recall the moments that I would go to jewett to practice piano... most of the times the pieces were bach's fugue or chopin.) Man.. I sound like a dork.
6. Take My Hand - The Kry
I have been liking this song since when I was in high school. I tend to sing it in my showers every morning.. heheheeh It does give me strength when I feel down at times or I feel like I'm alone.
(I know there are times
your dreams turn to dust
you wonder as you cry
why it has to hurt so much
give Me all your sadness
someday you will know the reason wy
with a child-like heart
simply put your trust in Me
Take My hand and walk where I lead
keep your eyes on Me alone
don't you say why were the old days better
just because you're scared of the unknown
take My hand and walk
Don't live in the past
cause yesterday's gone
wishing memories would last
you're afraid to carry on
you don't know what's comin'
but you know the one who holds tomorrow
I will be your guide
take you through the night
if you keep your eyes on Me
Take my hand and walk where I lead
Keep your eyes on me alone
don't you say why were the old days better
just because you're afraid of the unknown
take my hand and walk where I lead
you will never be alone
faith is to be sure of what you hope for
and the evidence of things unseen
so take my hand and walk
Just like a child
holdings daddy's hand
don't let go of mine
you know you can't stand
on your own)
7. Sweet Surrender - Adoremus (JHU Christian A cappella group)
My friend composed it, and I just love it. It's jazzy and well composed. It brings back the memories. also it's because one of the guys who used to be in the group sang the song for me over the phone last week. :) (a very belated b day present hahah). It's also nice to listen to the cd while I drive to work.
I have so many more... including hirai ken (oh he is definitely one of my faves... for slow songs hehehe) and ragfire. ehhehe I just love music and listen to them almost every minute except when i'm eating and working.... or studying.
music, life
