001 [AUDIO]

My ComLink isn't working, and I have this clunky thing now, and --

...and I'm on a boat. The water is so clean.

What's going on?

Oh, welcome, Mademoiselle! This is the MS Elegante! You are a new passenger. I do so enjoy meeting and greeting new passengers!

Thanks for the welcome, but ... that still doesn't explain how I got on an apparently already-moving boat.

Oh, I am not certain, either, but I do not dwell on it. Perhaps you could ask a member of the crew? I apologize, I am not very helpful.

I'm already talking to someone who says they're crew.

[sigh.]

...If you're not crew then who are you? Another passenger, I guess?

Ah...?

[He checks.]

Oh, yes, that is Kage! He is indeed crew. And yes, I am a passenger, just like you! My name is Wall McGregor. With whom am I conversing?

Wall's a weird name...cool, though.

I'm Shilo. Wallace. Uh, Shilo Wallace.

I selected it myself! I rather like it, I must say.

It is a pleasure to meet you, Mademoiselle Wallace!

You got to name yourself? Why?

Uh, nice to meet you too, Wall.

My mother did not give me a name! You see, I am a bushbaby, as that gentleman has informed you. Before I gained the ability to speak, I did not have a name. I did grant myself one, as you have heard, so all is well!

So how'd you learn to talk if you're a bushbaby?

[Rawrgh, she's finding him cute so far.]

I was blessed by a mermaid! I rescued her from the net of a fisherman in Martinique. It was possibly the greatest thing I have ever done, and certainly the most rewarding!
