AJ had to pull everyone away from her to give her space. Not even the smallest quirky anime-esque visual gag can escape Boy's watch!
which is odd, considering we’ve never seen Ruby enter that club. My guess is that in an earlier draft Ruby went with Yang to the club, they later changed it, but missed this line when adjusting scenes.
"OOBLECK!?" AJ finished. I'm surprised Boy "respects" him enough to use his last name, and isn't calling him "Barty" or something.
Yes the scene with Blake removing her bow was random and pointless but I did it anyway cause reasons! Ignoring the fact that there's a pretty good chance that we'll get a scene of her getting public outed as a Faunus in a later season, and depending on how important it is, could really mess with your ability to crib off of canon.
But here’s the thing, because we got such a great scene in canon (that of Yang’s backstory), whatever you do to replace that scene has to be at least as emotionally charged and revealing of character. Quoted for truth.
I just wouldn't know how he/she would react to things if they don't think like I do. As I writer, I find this laziness almost offensive. That explains the blandness that is Blake/Boy. He just admitted that he can't write reactions for people who don't think like he does, which means any time one of the girls has to leave canon, they start thinking like Boy.
On a tangent, if you're going to dump existing characters into a new world (or a crossover canon world), please leave your OCs at the door. Good RWBY fanfiction should star the existing characters, or, if you have the depth to come up with an entire team (which ProAJ admits he can't do), you can explore the world. If the girls are just Boy's cheerleaders, and the world is made up, there's no real reason for RWBY fans to tune in.
