*long, deep breath* Guys. This chapter is hard. This chapter is honestly very disturbing and disgusting, and could possibly be very triggering to a lot of people. I confess that the prose is still very stilted and bland, as it has been in the previous chapters, but that doesn’t change the fact that the content is very serious. And it is not handled well.
I cannot stress enough that the content featured here is incredibly touchy, and it is legit only featured here to paint a Masaya in a bad light, and to make Ichigo shift her romantic views to Kisshu.

Chapter 4

Yeah, things probably would’ve turned out better if Kisshu hadn’t shown up, but that would depend on how the author writes the story. And why are Kisshu’s feelings hurt because Ichigo is still rejecting him? Why hasn’t he grown the fuck up and realised that she doesn’t reciprocate his feelings?

As he teleported back to his ship,

Ichigo was still laying in bed, but the sobbing was replaced with silent cries. She was startled when she heard the doorbell ring. Whoever was there caught her at the worst time.
She dragged herself downstairs, in her PJ's and slippers with her eyes red and puffy, to the door. She opened the door, and her eyes widened at the person who was standing in front of her. It was Masaya.
"Ichigo, have you been crying?" He asked with a worried look on his face (A.N. No dip Sherlock *rolls eyes*).
RSPCC - 18
Actual shut the fuck up author. You’re the one who has written this situation. If anything, Masaya is responding as he would in canon; Ichigo is upset and he’s worried.
Suddenly, Ichigo's eyes filled with hate and anger. "Did you have fun sucking face with Mint?"

That is an odd euphemism to say “make-out”. And I still want an explanation as to why it was with Minto. It legit seems like a thing all Kishichigo fans do; turn Minto into the bitch who takes Masaya away from Ichigo so she can be with Kisshu.
Masaya's eyes widened at the comment. "What are you talking about?"
"I saw you at the park kissing Mint. You're cheating on me, and I don't want anything to do with you. We're over." (A.N. About time) She went to slam the door in his face when his foot stopped her. He grabbed Ichigo by the throat and brought her inside and slammed the door, then throwing her on the couch with him on top.
RSPCC - 25 (One for the author’s notes and then one for every single violent action there since Masaya is not the violent type)
"You are MINE! You are not going to break up with me because I OWN you and that's not going to change."

And there it is. It doesn’t matter that it’s literally just two, straight-forward sentences. They’re still there, and they still happened.
And for those of you who didn’t feel that smack to the face as canon got shat on, allow me to re-write both those sentences but replace those pronouns with actual names. It might make it even clunkier, but just to make it clear again what the author has done here;
“Masaya started slapping and punching Ichigo until she went out cold. Then Masaya raped Ichigo.”
Did you feel the smack that time? This is genuinely disgusting because this is not a topic that should be used lightly. This is a serious subject, and the author here has reduced to down for the sake of character bashing.
When he was done, he left the house leaving Ichigo still unconscious on the couch.
When she woke up, it was the nest day. Wondering what had happened, she looked down and noticed that she didn't have any clothes on. The last thing she remembered, Masaya was punching her. He raped me…
RSPCC - 36 (Unconscious, not having any clothes on, the fact that he was punching her all get one, and then again, two for the act itself)
She started crying again, slowly making her way up to her room to shower and out clothes on. She was late to her work shift. So she made her way to Café Mew Mew.
Look, Ichigo, author. She has just been humiliated in the worst way. She does not have to go into work. Even with the author writing Ryou like the biggest jackass to ever jack ass, Ichigo is perfectly justified to call and say she isn’t coming in. It would be understandable for her to want to be alone.
Ah, but if she didn’t go into the cafe, we wouldn’t have this next confrontation between Minto and Ichigo. Prepare for another slap to the face people, especially for any fans of Minto.
At the café…
"You're late." Ryou said as Ichigo walked in. Ichigo ignored him and the smirk Mint made and went into the locker rooms to change, walking like a zombie.

Behold, two people who care about Ichigo in canon and would be worried if she were to ever turn up to work looking the way she apparently does now, even if they had different ways of showing it. And this is what the author has reduced them to. And I do believe Ryou will get it worse as this does go along, if only because he is another possible love interest for Ichigo.
When she came out, she looked like she hasn't slept in days. Mint was already making comments about her appearance. Then, she finally snapped. "Mint, shut the fuck up."

An accurate statement that this fic!Minto deserves. I know that I have been repeating a lot of what I’ve said before, but there isn’t much else I can say. I’ve said it before, and all I can do is repeat it; Minto and Ichigo are friends, and they’ve been through a lot together. Minto would immediately catch onto the fact that Ichigo isn’t doing well, and she would ask if she was okay. She is not some rotten little bitch who would instantly brush off a friend’s haggard appearance, as much as you have portrayed her as such, author.
Mint was surprised at this reaction. "It's not my fault you look like a zombie." She said.

No but it is your fault that you aren’t showing any tact or concern over how she looks. Actually no, that is still the author’s fault.
"At least I didn't kiss somebody else's boyfriend!" She yelled. Everybody froze to look at her. Mint was horrified. "I didn't kiss your boyfriend."
"Don't deny it mint, I saw you at the park. I thought we were friends, but I guess not. I never want to see you again."

Ichigo looked around. Pudding and Lettuce looked genuinely worried, Zakuro glared at Mint, and Ryou and Keiichiro stared at Ichigo. "You know what? I quit." She finally said and stormed off to the locker rooms. When she was done, she went home, tears threatening to spill out of her eyes.
With the mews…
"What is everybody looking at? It's not my fault Masaya and I love each other." Mint said as she stuck her nose in the air.

Except that you don’t. Author, I swear to god- Minto and Masaya barely even fucking know each other. I can guess right now that the only thing they really know about each other is their names, and that would be it. So why is it that they love each other here? This is literally just a spiteful move so you can appeal to your own ship.
I can only go so far when it comes to giving a new writer some slack with their first story. I stopped giving you that slack back in chapter 2, when chapter 3 turned out to be awful. This is chapter 4 of a 16 chapter story plus prologue and epilogue.
Zakuro stared at her. "How could you, Mint? I thought you were a very pure girl, despite the insults you shot at Ichigo. I'm very disappointed in you." With that, she left, with Pudding and Lettuce not to far behind after saying that they agree.
You know you dun fucked up if Zakuro ain’t happy with you.
Mint hid her eyes under her bangs. I messed up…now everybody hates me… She then got up and dragged herself home.
As they should given what’s happened. However I still fail to see why the author would turn Minto into such a bitch for the sake of getting her ship together. Not to mention that this sudden revelation and "Oh woe I've messed up and dun did a bad thing" has come rather quickly. If this really was "love" then she'd stick to her guns for a bit longer before conceding that she dun fucked up.
After that scene, Ryou decided to close the café for the day.
With Ichigo…
As soon as she got home, she ran upstairs, jumped on her bed and started sobbing all over again. After about an hour or so, she got up, opened the window and looked at the clouds.
Doing that seemed to calm her down a lot more, just staring into the clouds, finding shapes. While doing this, she was deep in thought.
This is literally all that’s happening here. Rather than try and confide in someone she trusts, or try and figure out the next thing she can do, Ichigo goes to work, screams at her supposed friend, comes home and stares at the clouds. And that calms her down. This is all very insulting here. And then this next bit...
She sighed. I never thought Mint would do this. I don't think I could ever forgive her or Masaya. A chill crept up her spine when she thought about him. He raped me…I never thought he would be capable of killing a fly, much less rape someone.

Then I took my anger out on Kisshu. A smile crept on her face. I wish I could see him again, I want to apologize…Kisshu, please come back to me.
And then she starts thinking of Kisshu and that makes her smile. And she wants him back. That-- Not yet. There’s still a tiny bit more to come.
With Kisshu…
Kisshu had been crying for a few hours now. Pai and Tartuo tried to talk to him, but he told them to go away, and eventually they did. Suddenly, he heard a voice I his head, calling him. Kisshu, please come back to me. He made a startling realization that the voice was Ichigo. He quickly dried his eyes, and tried to sense her. She was standing at her window. He teleported.
Son of a bitch, what the fuck-- They’ve got some sort of weird fucking telekinetic connection now?
With Ichigo…
She closed her eyes, feeling the wind in her hair as it dried her tear-stained face. Then she heard teleportation. She opened her eyes to find Kisshu floating in front of her.
"For some reason, I heard you calling me. What's wrong?" He asked, a sad expression across his also tear-stained face. Suddenly, he was locked in an embrace.
Nope. Ichigo was raped. She would not want any kind of physical contact, not so soon after such a thing has happened to her. I’m aware that she is the one instigating the hug here, but either way, as soon as Kisshu got anywhere near her, she should’ve been screaming for him to stay away from her and to not touch her.
I know that I myself pointed out that she could talk to someone she trusted, but Kisshu wouldn’t be that person. The only reason he is the person she’s confiding in is once again to appeal to the author’s sick ship. It’d make more sense for Ichigo to call a friend, like Lettuce or Zakuro, or even Minto if she weren’t being vilified here. Because they’re her friends and she trusts them and they would be able to comfort her.
Ichigo had her arms around Kisshu's neck. A second later, Kisshu wrapped his arms around Ichigo's waist. They stood there for a long time.
"I'm sorry…" Ichigo whispered into his ear.
"It's okay, tell ,e what's wrong."
Ichigo pulled him over to her bed and sat down with him, leaning against the headboard. Kisshu put his arm around Ichigo's shoulders, and she leaned into him.
That’s a lot of leaning there. I’m trying to picture this scene in my head, but all I’m getting is that Ichigo is fidgeting and can’t get comfortable.
"Well, it happened when you left. This morning I confronted Mint about kissing Masaya and she denied it, so I quit the café. Before that, right after you left, Masaya came over and asked what was wrong when I opened the door. I told him that I knew he was cheating on me and we were over…" Ichigo's voice trailed off as she and Kisshu locked eyes. She was afraid of telling him that Masaya raped her and beat her until she was unconscious.

Seeing this, Kisshu was worried. "What happened next?" He asked shakily.
"If I tell you, you have to promise not to get angry, okay?"
Why is she afraid that he would get angry? Would he take it out on her? That is a sick reaction that that makes me think Ichigo is a sort of battered wife.
"Okay, I promise." Kisshu said sincerely.
Ichigo took a deep breath. "He grabbed me by the neck, threw me on the couch with him on top, and beat me until I was unconscious. Then…h-he raped me." She said, tears running down her cheeks.

Kisshu was furious, but he promised that he wouldn't get mad. For a few seconds he hid his eyes behind his hair. Ichigo was frightened. Please don't be mad, please don't be mad.She chanted in her head.

When they broke apart, Kisshu said, "I love you, Ichigo."

I can guess right now that the only thing they really know about each other is their names, and that would be it. So why is it that they love each other here? This is literally just a spiteful move so you can appeal to your own ship.
I can only go so far when it comes to giving a new writer some slack with their first story. I stopped giving you that slack back in chapter 2, when chapter 3 turned out to be awful. This is chapter 4 of a 16 chapter story plus prologue and epilogue.
Zakuro stared at her. "How could you, Mint? I thought you were a very pure girl, despite the insults you shot at Ichigo. I'm very disappointed in you." With that, she left, with Pudding and Lettuce not to far behind after saying that they agree.
You know you dun fucked up if Zakuro ain’t happy with you.
Mint hid her eyes under her bangs. I messed up…now everybody hates me… She then got up and dragged herself home.
As they should given what’s happened. However I still fail to see why the author would turn Minto into such a bitch for the sake of getting her ship together. Not to mention that this sudden revelation and "Oh woe I've messed up and dun did a bad thing" has come rather quickly. If this really was "love" then she'd stick to her guns for a bit longer before conceding that she dun fucked up.
After that scene, Ryou decided to close the café for the day.
With Ichigo…
As soon as she got home, she ran upstairs, jumped on her bed and started sobbing all over again. After about an hour or so, she got up, opened the window and looked at the clouds.
Doing that seemed to calm her down a lot more, just staring into the clouds, finding shapes. While doing this, she was deep in thought.
This is literally all that’s happening here. Rather than try and confide in someone she trusts, or try and figure out the next thing she can do, Ichigo goes to work, screams at her supposed friend, comes home and stares at the clouds. And that calms her down. This is all very insulting here. And then this next bit...
She sighed. I never thought Mint would do this. I don't think I could ever forgive her or Masaya. A chill crept up her spine when she thought about him. He raped me…I never thought he would be capable of killing a fly, much less rape someone.

God I know, I mean in canon he would never do something so horrific and disgusting.
Then I took my anger out on Kisshu. A smile crept on her face. I wish I could see him again, I want to apologize…Kisshu, please come back to me.
And then she starts thinking of Kisshu and that makes her smile. And she wants him back. That-- Not yet. There’s still a tiny bit more to come.
With Kisshu…
Kisshu had been crying for a few hours now. Pai and Tartuo tried to talk to him, but he told them to go away, and eventually they did. Suddenly, he heard a voice I his head, calling him. Kisshu, please come back to me. He made a startling realization that the voice was Ichigo. He quickly dried his eyes, and tried to sense her. She was standing at her window. He teleported.
Son of a bitch, what the fuck-- They’ve got some sort of weird fucking telekinetic connection now?
With Ichigo…
She closed her eyes, feeling the wind in her hair as it dried her tear-stained face. Then she heard teleportation. She opened her eyes to find Kisshu floating in front of her.
"For some reason, I heard you calling me. What's wrong?" He asked, a sad expression across his also tear-stained face. Suddenly, he was locked in an embrace.
Nope. Ichigo was raped. She would not want any kind of physical contact, not so soon after such a thing has happened to her. I’m aware that she is the one instigating the hug here, but either way, as soon as Kisshu got anywhere near her, she should’ve been screaming for him to stay away from her and to not touch her.
I know that I myself pointed out that she could talk to someone she trusted, but Kisshu wouldn’t be that person. The only reason he is the person she’s confiding in is once again to appeal to the author’s sick ship. It’d make more sense for Ichigo to call a friend, like Lettuce or Zakuro, or even Minto if she weren’t being vilified here. Because they’re her friends and she trusts them and they would be able to comfort her.
Ichigo had her arms around Kisshu's neck. A second later, Kisshu wrapped his arms around Ichigo's waist. They stood there for a long time.
"I'm sorry…" Ichigo whispered into his ear.
"It's okay, tell ,e what's wrong."
Ichigo pulled him over to her bed and sat down with him, leaning against the headboard. Kisshu put his arm around Ichigo's shoulders, and she leaned into him.
That’s a lot of leaning there. I’m trying to picture this scene in my head, but all I’m getting is that Ichigo is fidgeting and can’t get comfortable.
"Well, it happened when you left. This morning I confronted Mint about kissing Masaya and she denied it, so I quit the café. Before that, right after you left, Masaya came over and asked what was wrong when I opened the door. I told him that I knew he was cheating on me and we were over…" Ichigo's voice trailed off as she and Kisshu locked eyes. She was afraid of telling him that Masaya raped her and beat her until she was unconscious.

Seeing this, Kisshu was worried. "What happened next?" He asked shakily.
"If I tell you, you have to promise not to get angry, okay?"
Why is she afraid that he would get angry? Would he take it out on her? That is a sick reaction that that makes me think Ichigo is a sort of battered wife.
"Okay, I promise." Kisshu said sincerely.
Ichigo took a deep breath. "He grabbed me by the neck, threw me on the couch with him on top, and beat me until I was unconscious. Then…h-he raped me." She said, tears running down her cheeks.

Kisshu was furious, but he promised that he wouldn't get mad. For a few seconds he hid his eyes behind his hair. Ichigo was frightened. Please don't be mad, please don't be mad.She chanted in her head.

And even here, she’s doesn’t want him to be mad. Why would he even get mad?! That is just-- Author, I am legit begging you to think about what you are writing here!
Then they locked eyes again. Kisshu leaned in and kissed her passionately. To his surprise, she kissed back.
Even though she shouldn’t feel comfortable doing such a thing given what’s happened to her! Author, you really have no idea how a person would react to a situation like this nor can you write this scenario and give it the tact it deserves, so why did you write such a thing happening?
When they broke apart, Kisshu said, "I love you, Ichigo."
A.N. T.T so many feels! So guys I wanted to ask what I should do for the next chapter. Like introduce a new enemy (give a name if so), have more kishigo fluff, problems with Mint/Masaya, whatever. Let me know in the comments! I probably can't post till Thursday, but that gives me plenty of time to work on the next chapter. Here’s a suggestion; rewatch the show and then try again. I’m probably sounding very bitter right now, but after this chapter, I’m just really upset now.
