"WHAT TOOK YOU TWO SO LONG!" Yang asked them, sounded like she was just yelling though. She actually seemed angry about this.
[Fufu]: Not sure if I should berate Yang for interrupting a private moment or praise her for interrupting this particular private moment. ...Good job, Yang! :D
They had gone down to RWBY's dorm to find the whole team was awake and awaiting an explanation.
"Yay! Now the kid with the beautiful eyes will happen some day!" Ruby cheered.
[Fufu]: Seriously, is Ruby supposed to be like some sort of Audience Surrogate? Be the fangirl that ships everyone?
"It was just one semester." Blake mumbled.
[Kirby]: ...What was? Seriously author, organise your writing so I don’t have to keep scrolling back to get the joke.
"Um… denial?" AJ guessed.
"NO REALLY!? That was obvious from the time when Ruby asked you two why you were staring at each other! You were both in denial from the start!" Yang yelled.
[Fufu]: Y’know, aside from one gag, there wasn’t really any evidence of this. Legit, all we had in the beginning was Yang teasing them in chapter 3 during what would’ve been episode 2. After that, AJ and Blake had very very veeeeeery little interaction until chapter 5 aka episode 7.
Blake would have been scared of how Yang was angry enough about this for her eyes to turn light red, but she was holding AJ's hand and his Aura was still surrounding her and comforting her.
[Kirby]: Wait, Yang’s angry? I didn’t get that impression. Also why? Shouldn’t she be thrilled?
"Well actually we realized it pretty early on but were afraid the other wouldn't return the feelings." AJ explained. Yang showed no sign of calming down.
"But it was obvious you both felt the same way!" Yang continued to yell.
"Sis quiet down, people are trying to sleep." Ruby pleaded in the background.
"We thought it was too good to be true." AJ shrugged. Blake nodded in agreement.
"Well you were both stupid!" Yang yelled a bit quieter.
[Fufu]: Okay, Yang is actually being a bit insensitive here. I get having a character go “Well its about time”, but they should be relieved, not angry that it took so long. Relationships need time to build up, plus people need time to gather up the strength in order to confess in the first place. Friends can help nudge them along and give them support, but outright shoving them into the spotlight puts too much pressure on them and they can’t do it.
"I know, I know, now please calm down and stop yelling." AJ said.
"Yes, please, I would very much like to go back to sleep." Weiss complained.
[Kirby]: Now I’m imagining Weiss lying in bed trying her damndest to ignore everything going on, while sporting her most peeved off expression. XD
"See? You should listen to Ice Queen." AJ said pointing at Weiss.
[Fufu]: He stills calls her that?! Dude, leave her alone!
"Hey!" Weiss whined.
"Goodnight Blake." AJ said kissing her on the forehead.
Blake blushed but recovered quickly. "Goodnight." and kissed him on the cheek before turning to walk into her dorm, and stopped by Yang.
"Oh no you don't! If you are couple now the kiss needs to be on the lips!" Yang said smiling at the look of shock on AJ's face hearing this.
[Fufu]: And she’s still pushing them into things. Author, stop. Yang doesn’t do this. Yang is supportive, and she knows when to be pushy and when to lay off.
"Hey, look, I haven't even-" AJ started but stopped seeing Blake was smiling and walking towards him without complaint. Blake pushed him out and closed the door behind them.
"It's alright, believe it or not, it's my first kiss too." Blake whispered as she pinned him against the wall and tilted her head up for the kiss.
[Fufu]: Then you are being very forward about this. Wouldn’t you just want to be alone for this so you could both savour it together? Take your time with it? Or hell, if you don’t feel comfortable doing it right now, why not tell Yang to shove it? Back off and leave your relationship to yourselves. Let you two decide when you will take the next steps.
AJ quickly accepted it and leaned in and they pressed their lips together quickly and pulled away, well that was the intent for both of them but when they actually felt the kiss they couldn't bring themselves to pull away and had just started making out when Yang pulled Blake away.
[Kirby]: I’m bored. I’m gonna call for some pizza. Want anything Fufu?
[Fufu]: Just plain margherita for me please.
[Kirby]: You want a tiny umbrella in the glass?
[Fufu]: ...I mean a plain cheese and tomato pizza. I don’t really drink.
[Kirby]: ...Ohhhh right, that’s what you call ‘em. A plain cheese then! I’m getting a canadian.
[Fufu]: Also, if they’re both so nervous over their first kiss and their first relationship in general - although I’m calling bullshit on AJ’s “firsts” since he said before he had a girlfriend that he didn’t like talking about. I’m gonna guess now that she never comes up again and that there was no point in mentioning her since AJ is now with Blake - why would one innocent little kiss turn into a full blown make-out session so quickly? What, is that whole “we used to be friends but now we’re a thing” period not applying to these two? Cause I’d think that most other people in such a situation would still have those sort of feelings and any intimate moments would feel sort of awkward until they eventually got over it.
"All right love birds! That's enough!" Yang said with a smile.
[Fufu]: This fic’s Yang is all over the place. First she was like “You haf to keess nao!” and now she’s like “Okay lol, that’s enough, you’re bein’ gross now with your PDA.”
"Hey!" They both complained but Yang closed the door leaving him along in the hall. He pushed two fingers against his lips and savored the feeling of his first kiss until he realized how dumb he looked right now and went to his room.
[Fufu]: Yeah you look dumb right now. It sounds like something I’d expect a Shoujo protagonist to do after her first kiss. And yes, I do say ‘her’ because, even if I am gender stereotyping here a little bit, it is normally a girly thing, plus it is the girls in the Shoujos that gets hyped up and nervous over first kisses. Granted there is that extra cultural thing Japan has over making your first kiss special, but I digress.
[Fufu]: Not to mention that, as I just pointed out, you used to have a girlfriend. Now I’m not saying that every couple has to have had a kiss, but if his ex-girlfriend meant something to him then wouldn’t they have kissed? He was so desperate to brush off that topic of his ex, that it implies it was either a nasty breakup and he’d rather not think about it but they had an otherwise happy relationship, or she was a piece of work and he’d really rather not be reminded of her. But we never hear anything more about this girlfriend.
[Kirby]: I choose to believe that his previous girlfriend was a body pillow.
Neko jumped out and landed on the bed with him.
"So, finally got with Blake huh?" Neko said with an obvious teasing tone.
[Kirby]: *On the phone* Hey Fufu, I’m getting some garlic sticks with the pizza! Any dipping sauce preferences?!
[Fufu]: No sauces please. Oh, but how about some cheesy garlic bread too?
[Kirby]: Hell ya!
"Neko, I don't need your crap right now, we have Yang for that." AJ said turning away from the cat.
"Oh no, you aren't getting away that easily!" Neko jumped onto his head and AJ grabbed him with both hands and chucked him out the window. AJ lied
[Fufu]: *lay or laid. Although the former is recommended in this particular context of the sentence. So *turns to Kirby* how long do we have to wait or this is free?
[Kirby]: I’m ordering from the good place, so give ‘em til the end of the chapter.
[Fufu]: Okay, that shouldn’t be too long. Also, AJ is a right bastard if he’s just casually tossing Neko out of the window. I know Neko is a ratty piece of shit, but goddamn, after these past few chapters, what with AJ saying he considers Neko a friend in chapter 5 only to then say he’s never had any friends before Ruby and Yang, and then Neko not even showing up because we had that whole Faunus drama going on, I am starting to pity him. Just a little bit.

[Kirby]: Author doesn’t really understand what makes slapstick funny, eh?
[Fufu]: I’m suddenly thinking that this could come across as self-harm since, oh yeah, Neko is a manifestation of AJ, if the author even still remembers that.
He felt his Faunus parts come back before disappearing again as Neko reappeared in front of his face. Neko didn't look happy.
"Not cool dude!" Neko growled. "Not cool!"
AJ smiled at his misfortune, this was just instant payback and shutting him up at the same time. "Why I have no idea what you are talking about Neko. I'm just trying to sleep." AJ said sarcastically. Neko growled before giving up and lying down for sleep as well. "Maybe if you had stopped teasing like you normally would have done by this point!" So ends a Monday. In the end, no hard feelings.

[Fufu]: Um...Kirby? What the fuck is this?
[Kirby]: It’s a quote from Red vs Blue: Revelation. Epsilon says it at the end of the season while he’s searching for Tex, his… girlfriend? It’s kinda complicated.
[Fufu]: Ah okay then. ...Why is this here then? I get that it's a romantic quote, but it doesn’t really fit Blake and AJ then.
[Kirby]: It doesn’t fit at all. Epsilon talks about love and memories together because he cares about Tex even if he doesn’t quite know why. Both he and Tex have… let’s say amnesia. It’s complicated. Actually, that’s what makes this quote not work; Tex and Epsilon have a complicated relationship (which I shouldn’t talk about because SO MANY SPOILERS!), whereas AJ and Blake’s is disgustingly simple. They like each other because the author said so. That’s it.
Although AJ didn't feel so sure of that right now as the cat was sitting on his head in the middle of Oobleck's class. He could hear the bastard snickering. 'Oh hey, a window.'
"Doctor Oobleck?" AJ asked raising his hand.
Oobleck stopped talking and looked at AJ. "Yes AJ?"
"Sorry for interrupting but I figured you should get a warning before I abruptly-" AJ cut himself off as he once again, grabbed the cat on his head with both hands and chucked him out the window, which was on the other side of the room, as hard as he could. Everyone else heard the cat crying out in shock.
"ASSHOOOOLLLLLE!" Was what AJ heard as the cat went out the window.
[Fufu]: WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT IN A DAMN CLASSROOM, AND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING LESSON EVEN?! I MEAN JESUS FUCK, DID NEKO EVEN DESERVE THAT??? FOR TEASING YOU A LITTLE BIT??! WHAT, IS THE ONLY THING STOPPING YOU FROM DOING THAT TO YANG HER FUCKING SIZE?! I’ve decided, Neko needs to be saved from this jackass. Give him a better characterisation and a better purpose, and he’s golden. He doesn’t deserve this shit.
[Kirby]: Personally, I’m still down for killing the damn thing. Grind it into meat.
[Fufu]: Then maybe I’m just too nice, cause I just want to give him a better job to do.
[Kirby]: FIVE CATS FOR FIVE DEUTSCHMARKS AT ARBY’S!
Then at lunch he was teasing him more and climbing on him a lot.
"Yang… um… may I ask, what happened to your face?" Jaune asked hesitantly and Yang glared daggers at him. "AHH! What I mean is, you have really big claw marks all the way down your face, what happened?" Jaune asked.
"I interrupted Blake's first kiss with her new boyfriend and she wasn't happy."
[Fufu]: BLAKE DOESN’T HAVE CLAWS! For a second there, I thought it was gonna be that Neko landed on Yang’s face when he got tossed out the window. Now that, I will not lie, would’ve been funny. It’s slapstick and it's a result of another person’s actions, thus a consequence. But nope.
Yang said glaring at Blake, Blake glared back and showed one of her claws causing fear to suddenly overcome Yang and she looked away.
[Kirby]: …How the hell could Blake beat Yang in a fistfight?
[Fufu]: Author, no. Step away from your damn keyboard and stop trying to write these characters. You clearly cannot do it.
[Kirby]: Tip for writing Yang: She only gets scared if someone she cares about is in danger. She loves danger, herself.
[Fufu]: Especially so if she can’t do anything to help them. See episode 7 of Volume one; Ruby is pinned down by a Nevermore feather, and more feathers stop Yang from going to help. Her own sister was stuck and could’ve been killed, and Yang would’ve been helpless to do anything but watch.
[Fufu]: Actually, Ruby is a big factor in Yang’s life, and she’s terrified of her getting hurt. She’s fine with her attending Beacon and learning how to be a Huntress - hell, she’s even proud of her for getting in early - since Ruby is obviously being trained and Yang knows that Ruby can take care of herself. It’s when Ruby can’t take care of herself, even with all her training that she worries. Especially in Yang’s story about when they were younger and she accidentally put Ruby’s life in danger.
"I'm surprised it didn't happen while we were gone." Yang whispered to everyone at the table except Blake.
[Fufu]: What??? What does this have to do with Blake suddenly being violent toward Yang??! Where has this topic suddenly come from???
AJ eventually got tired of Neko and pushed him away, Neko got pissed and clawed him hissing at him, which pissed off AJ and he shoved the cat off the table hissing back, AJ quickly stood up as he had to dodge Neko's attempts at clawing him.
[Kirby]: This is so stupid.
One thing that will get people's attention is someone jumping and leaning away from a cat trying to claw him in the face.
"What pissed off your cat so much?" Yang asked.
"I kind of *Dodge* threw him *dodge* out two windows *Dodge* cause he was being annoying!" He stopped dodging and instead caught Neko midair. "There weren't supposed to be any hard feelings after the first time but he kept going and I had to do it again." He said as he and Neko glared at each other.
[Fufu]: So you couldn’t just ask him to stop?? You had to get violent???
"Hey Neko!" Blake called out and Neko and AJ both turned to her. "I'll pet you later if you stop trying to ruin my boyfriend's face!" AJ quickly found he held nothing in his hands and he had his cat ears and tail back. He was able to sit back down now. "Besides, now you have your green-gold eyes again." Blake said smiling and staring at him and AJ blushed.
"Well since the two new lovers are gonna talk for awhile, how have your guys' days been?" Yang asked.
"Well it was pretty funny seeing a cat on AJ's head in Oobleck's class." Pyrrha said.
"Ya, that was really the only interesting, let me rephrase, unique, thing so far today, that and seeing AJ and Blake are now a couple." Ren said.
[Kirby]: ...Ren, you’re far too chatty in this fanfic.
[Fufu]: That sentence could’ve been formatted better as well, considering it was dialogue. Fixing it! “Yeah, that was really the only interesting-- well, unique thing so far today. That, and seeing AJ and Blake are a couple now.”
"It's definitely one way to start off the semester!" Yang said laughing a little.
"Now we just have to get Pyrrha and Jaune together." Nora whispered to Ren while Jaune was talking to Ruby and Pyrrha talking to Weiss.
[Kirby]: ...You guys are at a lunch table, they’re probably still gonna hear you.
"We shouldn't interfere with our leader's love life." Ren whispered.
"Arkos needs to happen already!" Nora yell-whispered.
[Kirby]: Yep, they definitely heard you.
[Fufu]: Arkos will happen when the time is right dammit! Give it some fucking time and trust the writers’ to deal with it when they feel it should happen. Yes, the wait for them to become a thing is infuriatingly annoying, but that just means that when it does eventually become legit, it’ll be all the more satisfying.
"Are you trying to ship those two?" Yang asked Nora.
"Did someone say shipping?" Ozpin asked… wait, Ozpin!?
[Fufu]: Author, stop trying to break the fourth wall and be meta. This isn’t funny.
[Kirby]: I know the fandom sees Ozpin as a Shipper On Deck, but this isn’t a crack fic author.
"AH!" Ren, Nora and Yang yelled and everyone looked to see what they were yelling about and Ren and Nora were looking behind them and then started looking around for someone, Yang was looking around as well, and AJ was laughing/gasping for some reason.
Blake barely kept herself from laughing as well. "What's so funny?" She said chuckling.
AJ eventually stopped laughing. "Ooooh nothing. Just Ozpin being a troll." AJ said smiling stupidly, then had another little laughing fit.
"Wait, Professor Ozpin? I didn't see him anywhere." Weiss asked.
[Kirby]: Thank you for trying to stick to canon Weiss.
AJ didn't even try to explain how crazy and hilarious the headmaster can be sometimes.
[Fufu]: ...Clearly, the author is thinking of a different Ozpin from the one in the show. Ozpin is more of a Straight Man with hidden Cloudcuckoolander tendencies. Also the Chessmaster. Can’t forget that part.
The next day, Wednesday, in Oobleck's class.
AJ took one glance at Blake, ok maybe a few throughout the class but he will only admit to one glance. Oobleck apparently noticed this.
[Kirby]: Those two paragraphs actually shouldn’t have separated. The first one should have been attached to the second by a semi-colon.
[Fufu]: That first sentence is stupid as well. More fixing! “AJ couldn’t help but glance at Blake during class. Several times in fact, though eventually Oobleck noticed that his attention was elsewhere.”
[Kirby]: Also, it’s DOCTOR Oobleck! He didn’t get his PhD for fun, thank you very much!
"AJ please stop staring at Miss Belladonna." Oobleck said and you could see the grin on his face, he tried to hide it behind a sip of his coffee.
[Fufu]: Oobleck wouldn’t let that slide y’know. He’s actually kind of serious about his students focusing on their work.
[Kirby]: Also, Dr. Oobleck refers to his students by their last names during classes, which brings up the question of why AJ doesn’t have one yet.
[Fufu]: Because that would be too much hard work for the author. He already has to bend canon to fit in his OC, you expect him to also give him a proper last name?
Most of the class laughed and AJ and Blake both blushed but AJ also glared at the teacher.
"Is this about when I threw Neko out the window yesterday?" AJ asked annoyed.
"Why of course not… It's just minor payback for interrupting my class yesterday." Oobleck explained and a few students laughed again. AJ rolled his eyes and hid under his hood.
[Fufu]: Please, I’m sure Dr. Oobleck could think of a more embarrassing punishment than just saying, “Stop making googoo eyes at your girlfriend.”
[Kirby]: Also, Dr. Oobleck doesn’t strike me as the type to care for minor revenges. He’s a big picture kinda guy. If AJ needed to be punished, then he’d be punished appropriately. Not this petty crap.
Friday, (yes Friday! Nothing interesting happened Thurday!)([Kirby]: “Thursday”)
[Fufu]: Well then write something happening on Thursday! If this is the chapter of original content, then you can always write something happening, even if it's unremarkable. On the other hand, if you really wanted to skip to Friday without anything happening on Thursday, then just make it Friday. You do not need to say that nothing happened on Thursday. If anything, I now want to hear about that Thursday, since stuff probably did happen other than typical school stuff. It just didn’t happen to AJ, amirite?
in Glynda's class. AJ and Blake are called up to fight.
"Are you gonna use the Dust I gave you?" Weiss asked.
[Kirby]: The highly volatile substance he shouldn’t be playing with? I should hope not.
[Fufu]: The stuff which shouldn’t even work around him since apparently his Energy neutralises it so its pretty much useless? Either way, whether it is volatile or useless in his presence, I think the conclusion is that AJ should not have Dust.
"Probably not, I'm still figuring out the best ways to use it." AJ explained before stepping up on the stage.
[Kirby]: AJ: “If only I knew someone who was skilled with Dust, someone who had grown up using it, someone on my team... Oh well, I’ll just keep trying to not blow my hands off!”
"Try not to get distracted." Blake teased as they pulled out their respective weapons.
[Fufu]: Um, Blake is not the type to use her sexuality to her advantage. She wouldn’t use it to distract people during a fight.
"Oh please." AJ responded rolling his eyes. "You have the same problem."

[Fufu]: *immediately skims ahead* ...Phew, at least he doesn’t write the lyrics in.

"And AJ is the winner, good job you two." Glynda said. Blake was in the red, AJ had below half Aura.

AJ went over and helped her up, only now did he start breathing heavily. "Well that went better than our spar last semester. Good job."

"Ya, better for you maybe, and you did good too." Blake said excepting his help in walking back to their friends.

"You gonna be ok?" AJ's concern took over.
"Ya, I'll be fine. How come that last hit hurt so much more? I should have still had just above red-level Aura after that." Blake asked.
"Well I can't use someone's weapon forever. As I use it you can see the cracks that form on it, but the last hit the weapon can take, the one where it shatters, hits a lot harder than a normal attack. Makes for a cool finishing move, but its ([Kirby]: “it’s”) not a guarantee that attack will finish the fight, it's just a stronger attack." AJ explained.
[Fufu]: Yeah, with explained being the key-fucking-word here. Yes, thank you dear author for telling us this.
"Just when I thought your semblance couldn't be any more awesome, there you go!" Yang said. "You might be able to beat me without me holding back."
"Give me another week and if we don't fight by then I will gladly take you on!" AJ said excitedly. They all looked forward to the rematch with Yang and AJ.

[Kirby]: The only thing I’m looking forward to is that pizza. *checks clock* Eh, a while still.

He said scratching his head, he realized his hair felt greasy, he went to the bathroom mirror and saw his hair was black. "Oh right! I forgot to shower! Might as well do that since I can't sleep." "Isn't it really late to shower?" Neko asked tiredly.
"Yes but I really need to shower so I'm doing it anyway." AJ explained. Neko went back in his mind so he could wash his cat ears as well. When he came out of the bathroom with his hair wet and ready for bed, he looked at the bed blankly, blinked twice, and face palmed. Not the facepalm he normally does where he just puts his hand to his face, no this time there was the actual sound of palm meeting forehead.
"I could have just done it in the morning..." AJ grumbled.

[Fufu]: He stills calls her that?! Dude, leave her alone!
"Hey!" Weiss whined.
"Goodnight Blake." AJ said kissing her on the forehead.
Blake blushed but recovered quickly. "Goodnight." and kissed him on the cheek before turning to walk into her dorm, and stopped by Yang.
"Oh no you don't! If you are couple now the kiss needs to be on the lips!" Yang said smiling at the look of shock on AJ's face hearing this.
[Fufu]: And she’s still pushing them into things. Author, stop. Yang doesn’t do this. Yang is supportive, and she knows when to be pushy and when to lay off.
"Hey, look, I haven't even-" AJ started but stopped seeing Blake was smiling and walking towards him without complaint. Blake pushed him out and closed the door behind them.
"It's alright, believe it or not, it's my first kiss too." Blake whispered as she pinned him against the wall and tilted her head up for the kiss.
[Fufu]: Then you are being very forward about this. Wouldn’t you just want to be alone for this so you could both savour it together? Take your time with it? Or hell, if you don’t feel comfortable doing it right now, why not tell Yang to shove it? Back off and leave your relationship to yourselves. Let you two decide when you will take the next steps.
AJ quickly accepted it and leaned in and they pressed their lips together quickly and pulled away, well that was the intent for both of them but when they actually felt the kiss they couldn't bring themselves to pull away and had just started making out when Yang pulled Blake away.
[Kirby]: I’m bored. I’m gonna call for some pizza. Want anything Fufu?
[Fufu]: Just plain margherita for me please.
[Kirby]: You want a tiny umbrella in the glass?
[Fufu]: ...I mean a plain cheese and tomato pizza. I don’t really drink.
[Kirby]: ...Ohhhh right, that’s what you call ‘em. A plain cheese then! I’m getting a canadian.
[Fufu]: Also, if they’re both so nervous over their first kiss and their first relationship in general - although I’m calling bullshit on AJ’s “firsts” since he said before he had a girlfriend that he didn’t like talking about. I’m gonna guess now that she never comes up again and that there was no point in mentioning her since AJ is now with Blake - why would one innocent little kiss turn into a full blown make-out session so quickly? What, is that whole “we used to be friends but now we’re a thing” period not applying to these two? Cause I’d think that most other people in such a situation would still have those sort of feelings and any intimate moments would feel sort of awkward until they eventually got over it.
"All right love birds! That's enough!" Yang said with a smile.
[Fufu]: This fic’s Yang is all over the place. First she was like “You haf to keess nao!” and now she’s like “Okay lol, that’s enough, you’re bein’ gross now with your PDA.”
"Hey!" They both complained but Yang closed the door leaving him along in the hall. He pushed two fingers against his lips and savored the feeling of his first kiss until he realized how dumb he looked right now and went to his room.
[Fufu]: Yeah you look dumb right now. It sounds like something I’d expect a Shoujo protagonist to do after her first kiss. And yes, I do say ‘her’ because, even if I am gender stereotyping here a little bit, it is normally a girly thing, plus it is the girls in the Shoujos that gets hyped up and nervous over first kisses. Granted there is that extra cultural thing Japan has over making your first kiss special, but I digress.
[Fufu]: Not to mention that, as I just pointed out, you used to have a girlfriend. Now I’m not saying that every couple has to have had a kiss, but if his ex-girlfriend meant something to him then wouldn’t they have kissed? He was so desperate to brush off that topic of his ex, that it implies it was either a nasty breakup and he’d rather not think about it but they had an otherwise happy relationship, or she was a piece of work and he’d really rather not be reminded of her. But we never hear anything more about this girlfriend.
[Kirby]: I choose to believe that his previous girlfriend was a body pillow.
Neko jumped out and landed on the bed with him.
"So, finally got with Blake huh?" Neko said with an obvious teasing tone.
[Kirby]: *On the phone* Hey Fufu, I’m getting some garlic sticks with the pizza! Any dipping sauce preferences?!
[Fufu]: No sauces please. Oh, but how about some cheesy garlic bread too?
[Kirby]: Hell ya!
"Neko, I don't need your crap right now, we have Yang for that." AJ said turning away from the cat.
"Oh no, you aren't getting away that easily!" Neko jumped onto his head and AJ grabbed him with both hands and chucked him out the window. AJ lied
[Fufu]: *lay or laid. Although the former is recommended in this particular context of the sentence. So *turns to Kirby* how long do we have to wait or this is free?
[Kirby]: I’m ordering from the good place, so give ‘em til the end of the chapter.
[Fufu]: Okay, that shouldn’t be too long. Also, AJ is a right bastard if he’s just casually tossing Neko out of the window. I know Neko is a ratty piece of shit, but goddamn, after these past few chapters, what with AJ saying he considers Neko a friend in chapter 5 only to then say he’s never had any friends before Ruby and Yang, and then Neko not even showing up because we had that whole Faunus drama going on, I am starting to pity him. Just a little bit.

[Kirby]: Author doesn’t really understand what makes slapstick funny, eh?
[Fufu]: I’m suddenly thinking that this could come across as self-harm since, oh yeah, Neko is a manifestation of AJ, if the author even still remembers that.
He felt his Faunus parts come back before disappearing again as Neko reappeared in front of his face. Neko didn't look happy.
"Not cool dude!" Neko growled. "Not cool!"
AJ smiled at his misfortune, this was just instant payback and shutting him up at the same time. "Why I have no idea what you are talking about Neko. I'm just trying to sleep." AJ said sarcastically. Neko growled before giving up and lying down for sleep as well. "Maybe if you had stopped teasing like you normally would have done by this point!" So ends a Monday. In the end, no hard feelings.

[Kirby]: It’s a quote from Red vs Blue: Revelation. Epsilon says it at the end of the season while he’s searching for Tex, his… girlfriend? It’s kinda complicated.
[Fufu]: Ah okay then. ...Why is this here then? I get that it's a romantic quote, but it doesn’t really fit Blake and AJ then.
[Kirby]: It doesn’t fit at all. Epsilon talks about love and memories together because he cares about Tex even if he doesn’t quite know why. Both he and Tex have… let’s say amnesia. It’s complicated. Actually, that’s what makes this quote not work; Tex and Epsilon have a complicated relationship (which I shouldn’t talk about because SO MANY SPOILERS!), whereas AJ and Blake’s is disgustingly simple. They like each other because the author said so. That’s it.
Although AJ didn't feel so sure of that right now as the cat was sitting on his head in the middle of Oobleck's class. He could hear the bastard snickering. 'Oh hey, a window.'
"Doctor Oobleck?" AJ asked raising his hand.
Oobleck stopped talking and looked at AJ. "Yes AJ?"
"Sorry for interrupting but I figured you should get a warning before I abruptly-" AJ cut himself off as he once again, grabbed the cat on his head with both hands and chucked him out the window, which was on the other side of the room, as hard as he could. Everyone else heard the cat crying out in shock.
"ASSHOOOOLLLLLE!" Was what AJ heard as the cat went out the window.
[Fufu]: WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT IN A DAMN CLASSROOM, AND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING LESSON EVEN?! I MEAN JESUS FUCK, DID NEKO EVEN DESERVE THAT??? FOR TEASING YOU A LITTLE BIT??! WHAT, IS THE ONLY THING STOPPING YOU FROM DOING THAT TO YANG HER FUCKING SIZE?! I’ve decided, Neko needs to be saved from this jackass. Give him a better characterisation and a better purpose, and he’s golden. He doesn’t deserve this shit.

[Fufu]: Then maybe I’m just too nice, cause I just want to give him a better job to do.

Then at lunch he was teasing him more and climbing on him a lot.
"Yang… um… may I ask, what happened to your face?" Jaune asked hesitantly and Yang glared daggers at him. "AHH! What I mean is, you have really big claw marks all the way down your face, what happened?" Jaune asked.
"I interrupted Blake's first kiss with her new boyfriend and she wasn't happy."
[Fufu]: BLAKE DOESN’T HAVE CLAWS! For a second there, I thought it was gonna be that Neko landed on Yang’s face when he got tossed out the window. Now that, I will not lie, would’ve been funny. It’s slapstick and it's a result of another person’s actions, thus a consequence. But nope.
Yang said glaring at Blake, Blake glared back and showed one of her claws causing fear to suddenly overcome Yang and she looked away.
[Kirby]: …How the hell could Blake beat Yang in a fistfight?
[Fufu]: Author, no. Step away from your damn keyboard and stop trying to write these characters. You clearly cannot do it.
[Kirby]: Tip for writing Yang: She only gets scared if someone she cares about is in danger. She loves danger, herself.
[Fufu]: Especially so if she can’t do anything to help them. See episode 7 of Volume one; Ruby is pinned down by a Nevermore feather, and more feathers stop Yang from going to help. Her own sister was stuck and could’ve been killed, and Yang would’ve been helpless to do anything but watch.
[Fufu]: Actually, Ruby is a big factor in Yang’s life, and she’s terrified of her getting hurt. She’s fine with her attending Beacon and learning how to be a Huntress - hell, she’s even proud of her for getting in early - since Ruby is obviously being trained and Yang knows that Ruby can take care of herself. It’s when Ruby can’t take care of herself, even with all her training that she worries. Especially in Yang’s story about when they were younger and she accidentally put Ruby’s life in danger.
"I'm surprised it didn't happen while we were gone." Yang whispered to everyone at the table except Blake.
[Fufu]: What??? What does this have to do with Blake suddenly being violent toward Yang??! Where has this topic suddenly come from???
AJ eventually got tired of Neko and pushed him away, Neko got pissed and clawed him hissing at him, which pissed off AJ and he shoved the cat off the table hissing back, AJ quickly stood up as he had to dodge Neko's attempts at clawing him.
[Kirby]: This is so stupid.
One thing that will get people's attention is someone jumping and leaning away from a cat trying to claw him in the face.
"What pissed off your cat so much?" Yang asked.
"I kind of *Dodge* threw him *dodge* out two windows *Dodge* cause he was being annoying!" He stopped dodging and instead caught Neko midair. "There weren't supposed to be any hard feelings after the first time but he kept going and I had to do it again." He said as he and Neko glared at each other.
[Fufu]: So you couldn’t just ask him to stop?? You had to get violent???
"Hey Neko!" Blake called out and Neko and AJ both turned to her. "I'll pet you later if you stop trying to ruin my boyfriend's face!" AJ quickly found he held nothing in his hands and he had his cat ears and tail back. He was able to sit back down now. "Besides, now you have your green-gold eyes again." Blake said smiling and staring at him and AJ blushed.
"Well since the two new lovers are gonna talk for awhile, how have your guys' days been?" Yang asked.
"Well it was pretty funny seeing a cat on AJ's head in Oobleck's class." Pyrrha said.
"Ya, that was really the only interesting, let me rephrase, unique, thing so far today, that and seeing AJ and Blake are now a couple." Ren said.
[Kirby]: ...Ren, you’re far too chatty in this fanfic.
[Fufu]: That sentence could’ve been formatted better as well, considering it was dialogue. Fixing it! “Yeah, that was really the only interesting-- well, unique thing so far today. That, and seeing AJ and Blake are a couple now.”
"It's definitely one way to start off the semester!" Yang said laughing a little.
"Now we just have to get Pyrrha and Jaune together." Nora whispered to Ren while Jaune was talking to Ruby and Pyrrha talking to Weiss.
[Kirby]: ...You guys are at a lunch table, they’re probably still gonna hear you.
"We shouldn't interfere with our leader's love life." Ren whispered.
"Arkos needs to happen already!" Nora yell-whispered.
[Kirby]: Yep, they definitely heard you.
[Fufu]: Arkos will happen when the time is right dammit! Give it some fucking time and trust the writers’ to deal with it when they feel it should happen. Yes, the wait for them to become a thing is infuriatingly annoying, but that just means that when it does eventually become legit, it’ll be all the more satisfying.
"Are you trying to ship those two?" Yang asked Nora.
"Did someone say shipping?" Ozpin asked… wait, Ozpin!?
[Fufu]: Author, stop trying to break the fourth wall and be meta. This isn’t funny.
[Kirby]: I know the fandom sees Ozpin as a Shipper On Deck, but this isn’t a crack fic author.
"AH!" Ren, Nora and Yang yelled and everyone looked to see what they were yelling about and Ren and Nora were looking behind them and then started looking around for someone, Yang was looking around as well, and AJ was laughing/gasping for some reason.
Blake barely kept herself from laughing as well. "What's so funny?" She said chuckling.
AJ eventually stopped laughing. "Ooooh nothing. Just Ozpin being a troll." AJ said smiling stupidly, then had another little laughing fit.
"Wait, Professor Ozpin? I didn't see him anywhere." Weiss asked.
[Kirby]: Thank you for trying to stick to canon Weiss.
AJ didn't even try to explain how crazy and hilarious the headmaster can be sometimes.
[Fufu]: ...Clearly, the author is thinking of a different Ozpin from the one in the show. Ozpin is more of a Straight Man with hidden Cloudcuckoolander tendencies. Also the Chessmaster. Can’t forget that part.
The next day, Wednesday, in Oobleck's class.
AJ took one glance at Blake, ok maybe a few throughout the class but he will only admit to one glance. Oobleck apparently noticed this.
[Kirby]: Those two paragraphs actually shouldn’t have separated. The first one should have been attached to the second by a semi-colon.
[Fufu]: That first sentence is stupid as well. More fixing! “AJ couldn’t help but glance at Blake during class. Several times in fact, though eventually Oobleck noticed that his attention was elsewhere.”
[Kirby]: Also, it’s DOCTOR Oobleck! He didn’t get his PhD for fun, thank you very much!
"AJ please stop staring at Miss Belladonna." Oobleck said and you could see the grin on his face, he tried to hide it behind a sip of his coffee.
[Fufu]: Oobleck wouldn’t let that slide y’know. He’s actually kind of serious about his students focusing on their work.
[Kirby]: Also, Dr. Oobleck refers to his students by their last names during classes, which brings up the question of why AJ doesn’t have one yet.
[Fufu]: Because that would be too much hard work for the author. He already has to bend canon to fit in his OC, you expect him to also give him a proper last name?
Most of the class laughed and AJ and Blake both blushed but AJ also glared at the teacher.
"Is this about when I threw Neko out the window yesterday?" AJ asked annoyed.
"Why of course not… It's just minor payback for interrupting my class yesterday." Oobleck explained and a few students laughed again. AJ rolled his eyes and hid under his hood.
[Fufu]: Please, I’m sure Dr. Oobleck could think of a more embarrassing punishment than just saying, “Stop making googoo eyes at your girlfriend.”
[Kirby]: Also, Dr. Oobleck doesn’t strike me as the type to care for minor revenges. He’s a big picture kinda guy. If AJ needed to be punished, then he’d be punished appropriately. Not this petty crap.
Friday, (yes Friday! Nothing interesting happened Thurday!)([Kirby]: “Thursday”)
[Fufu]: Well then write something happening on Thursday! If this is the chapter of original content, then you can always write something happening, even if it's unremarkable. On the other hand, if you really wanted to skip to Friday without anything happening on Thursday, then just make it Friday. You do not need to say that nothing happened on Thursday. If anything, I now want to hear about that Thursday, since stuff probably did happen other than typical school stuff. It just didn’t happen to AJ, amirite?
in Glynda's class. AJ and Blake are called up to fight.
"Are you gonna use the Dust I gave you?" Weiss asked.
[Kirby]: The highly volatile substance he shouldn’t be playing with? I should hope not.
[Fufu]: The stuff which shouldn’t even work around him since apparently his Energy neutralises it so its pretty much useless? Either way, whether it is volatile or useless in his presence, I think the conclusion is that AJ should not have Dust.
"Probably not, I'm still figuring out the best ways to use it." AJ explained before stepping up on the stage.
[Kirby]: AJ: “If only I knew someone who was skilled with Dust, someone who had grown up using it, someone on my team... Oh well, I’ll just keep trying to not blow my hands off!”
"Try not to get distracted." Blake teased as they pulled out their respective weapons.
[Fufu]: Um, Blake is not the type to use her sexuality to her advantage. She wouldn’t use it to distract people during a fight.
"Oh please." AJ responded rolling his eyes. "You have the same problem."
"Begin."

[Fufu]: *immediately skims ahead* ...Phew, at least he doesn’t write the lyrics in.
[SNIP - BLAKE AND AJ’S FIGHT]
"And AJ is the winner, good job you two." Glynda said. Blake was in the red, AJ had below half Aura.
[Fufu]: But of course.
[Kirby]: By Odacchi, that fight scene was boring.
[Fufu]: It started with the biggest paragraph yet, I assume. Unless the author manages to top himself in one of the upcoming chapters.
AJ went over and helped her up, only now did he start breathing heavily. "Well that went better than our spar last semester. Good job."
[Fufu]: …? *tries to remember such a thing happening* ...Nnnnnnnnope, I’m coming up blank. Looks like more noodles for my Noodle Incident stand.
"Ya, better for you maybe, and you did good too." Blake said excepting his help in walking back to their friends.
[Fufu]: *accepting, and does she really need help to walk? How hard did he hit her if she can’t walk??? Unless the author meant that Blake accepted his helping her to her feet.
"You gonna be ok?" AJ's concern took over.
"Ya, I'll be fine. How come that last hit hurt so much more? I should have still had just above red-level Aura after that." Blake asked.
"Well I can't use someone's weapon forever. As I use it you can see the cracks that form on it, but the last hit the weapon can take, the one where it shatters, hits a lot harder than a normal attack. Makes for a cool finishing move, but its ([Kirby]: “it’s”) not a guarantee that attack will finish the fight, it's just a stronger attack." AJ explained.
[Fufu]: Yeah, with explained being the key-fucking-word here. Yes, thank you dear author for telling us this.
"Just when I thought your semblance couldn't be any more awesome, there you go!" Yang said. "You might be able to beat me without me holding back."
"Give me another week and if we don't fight by then I will gladly take you on!" AJ said excitedly. They all looked forward to the rematch with Yang and AJ.
[Fufu]: Oh god…
[Kirby]: The only thing I’m looking forward to is that pizza. *checks clock* Eh, a while still.
It was midnight now, no school in the morning and everyone was asleep, except AJ, as usual.
[Fufu]: “As usual.” Cause he’s a muthafuckin’ rebel.
"Please don't be one of those days where I can't sleep." AJ pleaded. He laid there for another 10 seconds expecting to somehow fall asleep suddenly. He didn't. "Ugh." He said scratching his head, he realized his hair felt greasy, he went to the bathroom mirror and saw his hair was black. "Oh right! I forgot to shower! Might as well do that since I can't sleep." He said to himself.
"Isn't it really late to shower?" Neko asked tiredly.
"Yes but I really need to shower so I'm doing it anyway." AJ explained. Neko went back in his mind so he could wash his cat ears as well. When he came out of the bathroom with his hair wet and ready for bed, he looked at the bed blankly, blinked twice, and face palmed. Not the facepalm he normally does where he just puts his hand to his face, no this time there was the actual sound of palm meeting forehead.
"I could have just done it in the morning..." AJ grumbled.
"Really!? You just thought of that!?" Neko asked disbelievingly. AJ just nodded before jumping to bed and somehow finally fell asleep, maybe he just needed to shower to fall asleep for some reason.
[Kirby]: And the point of this scene was...?
[Fufu]: There was no point. This is a dullest piece of shit you ever did read.
