[Not-so-Short Fiction] Character Study of a Sad and Delusional Woman P.3

The Pricks mod asked for some clarifications on why Pricks was so disliked and receiving hacking threats. Kuku openly offered to tell them what was going on because it seemed like the majority of the problems involved miscommunication between the two parties. Then he shared what he learned on flitter.

With that, Kuku received a direct message from Blade about what was going on. She confided in him that she was turned off by what Dub had become, a power hungry monster with an over inflated ego. For what felt like weeks, they vented to each other about how much they disliked Dub but felt like there was nothing they could do but just tolerate it.

Then, the two devised a plan. They created a bot account to stir up some shit and piss Dub off. While Dub played it cool, she ranted and complained to certain friends how outraged she was and how she wanted to kick Kuku out of the roleplaying community. Unbeknownst to Kuku at the time, Dub was never too fond of him. She wanted him gone from the beginning and tried to convince others that he was bad news.

What occurred next is even a mystery to this author, but apparently she was receiving “pings” from someone and it “woke her” from her beauty sleep. She had one story but it didn’t match up to other stories. It was obvious she was in a panic and didn’t know what to do. So she officially resigned as a mod of the role playing game and separated herself from the group.
From that point on, shit started to come out. Apparently, a lot of people were keeping quiet about their dislike for the girl. She was outed as a backstabber, a manipulator, a bully, a narcissist, and a liar.

The most entertaining part, however, happens after she is “exiled” from this group she once considered her friends/ personal army. She made several attempts to convince them that she never needed them anyway, that she would rather focus on her real life goals, and that she actually leads an exciting life.

From subtle stabs at the group to unconvincing picture posts, she only proved how pathetic she really was. It was obvious that she was hurt and angry over what had happened, but she wanted to keep her “too cool” image she created for her online persona. She continued to brag about her party girl lifestyle when it wasn’t even believable. She wrote long posts about how she never cared about what people on the internet thought of her when it’s clear that she did. She stated that meeting people over the internet (like many of the friends from the group have done) is pathetic and unsafe, when she used to go on about how she wanted to meet and hang out with these people. She insulted her former “OTP” for posting edited photos online. To put it simply, everything she said was complete bullshit.

For someone who claimed to not care, she really hadn’t moved on. Dub continued to start shit, knowing it would spark drama as she actually paired up with a former rival (the creator of the community she invaded with Blade) in an attempt to get back at an ex-online friend. Her latest project was writing a post about this ex-friend and then collectively removing everyone from the former friend group after leaving them on her f-list for months and months. It was a blatant shot at getting people to speculate but knowing her, it’s nothing threatening and all for show.

What does this author think? Well, this author pities the character. Dub has not only manipulated and lied to many of the girls that once considered her a friend but she manipulated and lied to herself. Through all of this, Dub has gained a false sense of confidence that is only present on the internet but not in her social life, where it actually matters, according to her own words. She writes entries on how she has so many guys falling for her, how she’s out partying at the clubs, how she’s at the top of her game professionally, and how she always gets what she wants. Where was all of this fabulousness when she was spending hours RPing, writing essays on people she disliked, and plotting intricate ways to fuck people over?
She claimed not to care about what people thought about her? The why did she always want an audience whenever she did something and admitted that she feeds off of people’s reactions? She said the friends she made over the internet are unimportant? Then why did she plan meeting up with these people and spend so much of her time talking to them over LJ and flitter? A common theme in many of her LJ posts is how she doesn’t give a fuck and is happy with her life. This author’s question is, is she just trying to convince the readers or is she also subconsciously trying to convince herself?
